I always think that rally driver is a pinnacle of driving skill, with such ability to be fast as possible in many variety of twist, turn, elevation and terrain.

There are many mountains in Japan, so there are many forest roads like this in the mountains. And most of it is paved. It feels like I'm looking at the mountain scenery near my hometown, and I'm happy to realize that the tournament is being held in Japan. And since it is autumn at this time of year in Japan, the autumn leaves are in full bloom in the mountains, and I would like to add that it is also enjoyable for sightseeing.

I love some F1. Those guys are talented. But honestly, NOTHING compares to WRC and the talent of the rally drivers. This was epic. The new cars sound great and are the right type of challenge to drive. Wrangling the beautiful strip of tarmac with 500 odd HP on tap like this is special. Kudos Elfyn!

F1 drivers have insane skills. But rallying is inherently more fun for us all.

You have uploaded a lot of great content for this rally. Such a great surprise. Lots of onboards, specially that great comparison between Ogier and Neuville. Finally! Thanks for it! Keep it like that!

This road is the back road of my hometown. I was going down on a bicycle on a rainy day, stepped on moss, slipped and rolled. Moss slips well.

Thanks for the great onboards. Just makes me want to get wrc+....
It honestly baffles me how he can drive that fast and still process every note that he's given. I can't follow the notes just sitting here on my couch!

Remember he *wrote* those notes, together with Scott Martin, in the "recce". They say it feels like your own thoughts coming back to you.

Very typical of a lot of the mountain roads in Japan. Equal parts scary and beautiful, so they make for very high level rally stages.
You rally guys really do earn your money. What an amazing drive! 👍

Eventually Rally stages in Japan are also used by everyone to learn drifting and touge battle too. So that's why this place is popular.

Hey, I would like to know, how Rally drivers work with the notes being read way in advance, but at the same time, you have to drive in the here and now, the current corner, while simultaneously hearing what comes 2 corners after, and envisioning and remembering that. How does that work? Is there some technique to it?

The navigator sounds like hes just reading the turns at his own pace lol, how can a driver focus on the driving while concentrating on the speed while trying to listen to the rapid calls from the nav?! Crazy stuff lol, a well oiled machine 😄

What stands "maybe" for ?
@georgealoupas69888 ай бұрын
That you might be able to cut in the corner. "Don't" means don't cut in the corner and keep the entirety of the car on the tarmac through the apex.
