This may turn out to be the best documentary of Adrien's coming of age in WRC.

As I've written before - this is by far the best that can be done to promote WRC. It is way nicer than DTS in F1 - more ralistic. I hope we get more stuff like this in 2025. Aside from the episode, it is a shame, that Adrien goes to Hyundai (I've read the reasons, to bad Ford didn't give a bit more in to it), but I really hope that Martins will find enough financial support for a full season in Rally1 with M-Sport.

I remember when Toyota, Ford, Peugeot, Lancia, Renault, Opel, Fiat, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi were all part of our lives and rallies were on par with F1, resources-wise. Malcolm and the awesome M-Sports team are the canary in the coal mine. Ford is about to disappear from the face of the Earth. Subaru and Mitsubishi won countless championships. We had many teams of drivers AND co-drivers we revered from all over Europe. WRC is second to F1 and has always been just because of money. Gas, oil, IT and many many hedge funds and financial companies own F1 and the business is into the tens of billions of euros. What remains for us? Six cars? Three drivers? Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat, Lancia, I mean there’s nothing left. Sponsors? 10 billion € for F1? We kill ourselves to get a couple of sponsors for each event. We’re running dry with the most beautiful and oldest tradition of motrosports. We’re dying. This series tells the story of our demise. We lost Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Total and Stellantis is about to disappear. Nissan and Renault are, basically, to be no more. Tears flow when I think about what we could’ve done. Let’s revive the soul of WRC and rallying. I feel this docu is like our swan song. Can you imagine what Malcolm has done for the entire world of the FÍA? Sure, he’s a multimillionaire, but he’s “Ford”-leased face for the sport. He opened and opens up the door to kids all over the world to start rallying. But he’s not Ford (which is becoming worthless). I can’t see where’s the future for us. A Japanese giant against a Korean giant getting their teams from MSport is not a nice new history for rallying, the FÍA, organisers from all over the world and, especially, a new generation of fans. Sorry for my tirade. I’m sad. Btw… what happens if Germany collapses? What happens if Korea stops? What happens if there’s only one Asian company dominating a sport? We need investors and manufacturers who want to sell cars. I hope we survive.
