I’ve seen several videos and most crack the windshield. How often would you say you can remove the windshield without damaging it?

First, regardless of the system you use there is always a risk of breaking when cutting out a windshield you’re trying to save. Wire has a higher success rate than fiber line because it cuts the urethane where the fiber line tears through it. Now, with fiber line, the WRD P6 line is the thinnest but there is still a greater risk. I have an old Orange Bat that I use with wire, specifically Equalizer brand called “Squire.” I’ve had a 100% success rate so far saving windshields with this method. Using wire is not WRD a recommended method with the Bat. However, I got permission from WRD to post the video because it’s useful and it does work. If the window has clips ? From oem does it cut through those too ?

Depends on the pins (clips) and how old the line on your spools is. Ford, Hyundai/Kia, and Tesla have a tendency to break or cut the line when they break. Toyota (the top pins, not the bottom pins on the older ones), Honda and Subaru it pulls through easily. The line will eventually wear and fray to the point of breaking, but the upside is you can use it for multiple vehicles unlike wire which is one time use. I usually get between 6 & 10 vehicles on my line before it breaks.

WRD P8 for the most part. But I also use their XN96 line. It’s a little thinner but has the same core as the P8 so it’s tough for a thinner line.
