Wreath laying, St woolos Cathedral, Newpo.

The laying of wreaths at the memorial to the three battalions of the Monmouthshire regiment on 8th May 2015. This was the first part of the dedication to two memorials to the Mons. men that died on the 8th May 1915. On this day, 211 men were killed with 85 from Newport with a total of over 515 killed during the 2nd battle of Ypre between the 22nd April and 25th May 1915. The Mons regiments were almost totally annihilated during this battle.
