Wheeling The Largest Pondarosa Pine Forest In The World

To avoid the heat of Arizona in the middle of the summer, we head north to Payson. We were able to go wheeling in the largest Pondarosa Pine Forest in the world, which luckily was not far from home. Breaking in a newly founded trail, we came across some locals. One of which was an original founder of the new trail. A new optional line was created and Virgil was able to successfully drive it, thus confirming the line was drivable. But with great success, a trail failure was upon us. Rock crawling this area was rad. Mostly buggies or jeep and toyota truggies would be minimum to hit this trail. also offering many rear steer lines. Payson is the best Arizona summer spot to offroad.

Woohoo comment #1 many moons ago when I drove big trucks cross the country, I remember leaving Phoenix on a nice hot summer day to end up in the woods of Arizona and was shocked because I didnt think they had woods like northern cali. Glad yall found some cooler temps for some day wheelin

Next time you guys run that trail, take the forest roads all the way up (about 4 miles) to the town above that and hit "Double D's Restaurant and Bar"! Great food and fun in a super small, fun town! Then forest roads all the way back to camp! Awesome round trip.
