HARDEST/SHORTEST Arizona Pine Forrest Rock Crawling Trail

We went out to search for the hardest, shortest Arizona pine forrest Rock crawling trail. Problem was we barley had a clue where it was. We have only
herd stories and bits and pieced of where it might be. With what we gathered, we think its near a Off-road trail we had done years ago. So we head out with a plan that even if it isn't in the area we thought it was we could run an oldie but goodie 4x4 trail and see if we could find bonus lines as we remember the old trail being full of waterfalls, v notches, cracks and rock gardens. Last time we were in there we just had our old Jeep buggy and Virgil wheeled it last in his Toyota truck based buggy. Now that we had rear steer
buggies we knew we could find more extreme rock crawling on this trail. We Just had to find them. As that being our back up plan our main plan was to find this epic trail and see if we could drive the hardest shortest trail in the Arizona pines.

If ya'll want to cook your meals on the trail, i recommend a "muff-pot" that clamps onto your exhaust. It'll cook the food quicker and remain secured since it's in a tin can that gets clamped onto the rig.

1st time i saw this trail i was on a run with UTs. it blew my mind to watch them wheel it. crazy.... 1.5 years latter i bought/built a rear steer buggy and want to run it with my crew soon. great video as always.

You guys killed it on that trail. I've run it several times and it never gets any easier...even knowing the lines. Be sure to play on all the optional stuff on the trail above that one, especially the big notch on the right. if you know, you know! Get it!

that trail was for sure legit. I was surprised we got it without any carnage. We dont have a video this weekend as we are in Colorado for week doing some Jeepin stuff. But the following weekend you will get to check out how we did. on the next trail you are talkin about.

It was still sadly hot. but way better then in the desert for sure. funny thing is it was supposed to rain all weekend. we were scared of flooding. instead it was 95 and no rain lol.

22R and 22RE’s are awesome for cooking food. I actually welded some expanded steel directly over my exhaust manifold. By lunch time food was more than ready to eat. And of course I wheeled with a lot of guys that also ran those engines. So it was like following a food truck around in the woods. Good times!

The 22r did much better at cooking them my 5.3. I think I need to modify or get one of them fancy muffler cookers. This was by far the most fun I have had cooking on the trail.

@@WRECKEDGEAR I think I made mine out of some 1/4” or 3/16” round bar and bent it into a little stand they would fit above my manifold and then I spot welded some expanded steel. Then I just used springs with hooks on either end to hold the food down plus they’re reuseable. You could always use heavy duty size ties and zip them them down. Never once tasted plastic in my food. As yours was mine was always wrapped tightly in several layers of aluminum foil. Worked like magic.

What do you call those cars? Is it a rock crawler or trail car

It would be considered a Rear steer Rock crawler. We call it a trail car because of how its set up. some rock crawlers are set up just for comps. so they have one seat and are built very light and not as sturdy. but they typically preform better. Ours has 2 seats and built to drove to and from the trail with comfort with still being able to push the lemits.
