best thing about wreckfest is the surprisingly solid racing mechanics. it's honestly one of the higher end of arcade racers, really fun.

It really does handling feel better than most other racers out there while at the SAME TIME having the pretty immense damage physics it implies that nothing else even really comes close to. It's an impressive game for sure seeing how most games like NFS or Dirt can't even get the handling to not feel like shit these days let alone have amazing wrecks at the same time.

It was such a genius idea to do this race! I've seen the wreckfest vids and they are proper fun so I really hope people catch on with them. I'm really wishing for you to be successful outside of GTA content, the way Rockstar treats its own game and fans definitely calls for this.

It really is a shame that Rockstar has fucked up so badly that some content creators feel a certain way about even playing the damn game anymore :/ Rightfully so don't get me wrong, but man did they just drop the ball so badly and continuously for us to end up here....

Edit: I feel like there may be some place difference, Alex publishes a lot of content with catch up and slipstream, I wonder how much time he spends racing without those, that aside both drivers are insanely quick. Would love to see it either way.

@@neoxela00 The Failrace guys are immense drivers. I follow most of them on Xbox and practically all of them are top 1% drivers on Forza's leaderboards so they're not slouches. They just use the rules they do for entertainments sake. Saying they are slow is a grave injustice IMHO.

@@neoxela00 They are actually seriously quick regardless, Slipstream and catchup is just so the racing is closer for the vids. Ninetales is ridiculously quick. You can see it when Alex does racing with randoms in so far as the filming team are usually very much at the front even with SS and catchup on

we've done no rules-ish on Wreckfest, with the only rule being you need to actively race, so no going backwards or just harassing others and not progressing not sure if they'll end up on KZbin

@@DiNmiTe Dunno, Auz was pretty bad early on. I'll have to find the exact timestamps. EDIT: 3:37 Suki took out Auz. Auz then didn't actually take anyone out, just drove a little bit like an idiot in the latter half of the lap. 8:18 not sure if I'm allowed to question benny given the ping nonsense. Rest of the race seems fine in terms of takeouts, but in general the driving standards seemed to lack a bit. Whether that was player-induced, or car/track-induced, who knows.

we've raced this track multiple times on PH and there is minimal difference in either route that it doesn't really matter

You should have a wreckfest/demolition derby class, with only old bangers with low armor. A few hard hits and the chassis get bent properly.

there used to be a Bangers class but it was removed to clean up the classes, since races were hardly done with that particular class
