The owners of the Hard Rock now don't care about cafes. It's al about hotels and casinos.

All I hear are other people complaining about how terrible Memphis when I tell them I used to live there. All the delusional locals say just leave if you don’t like it. I along with many others have done just that. I would have gone sooner if I could have. Shockingly - it took a long time to transfer out because no one actually wants to go there.

It could (probably) hardly compete with BB King's and other, more authentic places there. Throw in a possible rent increase and it's no wonder it closed.
