Hmm. I think the lamp itself and all the 'get to know one another' stuff is really great...and then you get a cheap Magic Mixies Pixling knockoff. I mean seriously, the joints are downright sloppy, her face is so generic I wouldn't even be able to place it, those wings are downright awful and after seeing her animated she looks just...disappointing. But that's a good thing. I can spend my money on other things :) Thanks for reviewing her!

I'm glad I was able to help you make that decision. However I do disagree I think that she is really cute and her face is really well done. As for what she's similar to I definitely see the capsule chicks if you remember those which makes sense because Garrett Sander also worked on those. As for articulation she does have more than a magic mixies pixlings and you know how much I love those. She doesn't feel cheaply made or anything. The wings getting caught sometimes isn't ideal but if I'm being honest I haven't really found anything that pops out easily without being something that can easily be folded up and stuff, making it feel cheap. At the end of the day it's always just going to be a matter of preference and I totally respect your views of her and I'm glad I was able to help.

Definitely one of the coolest toys you've ever reviewed. Not exactly my cup of tea, and I can't say I'd pay that much, but I gotta say, I sort of want one. Great video! Interesting toy, a Goliath cameo (for big ole 90s nerds like me) and an impromptu musical number to cap it off. Always a pleasure watching your dorky self.

I totally agree and honestly after unlocking more points and new outfits I got to say it kind of sucks you just get three snapshots kind of like she tried them on that was lackluster but I only just did that now so I couldn't comment before.

I would have gone nuts over this as a kid. It definitely seems worth the $, especially comparing it to the pixings mirrors. But it being US exclusive right now means that I'll have to wait for if they bring it to Canada, since importing that would at least double the price, which is a shame...

Oh yes I have to admit after playing with this even though I love to some magic mirror pixie there is very little to do with the mirror afterwards so this is a better product for reusing definitely.

good idea buuut not completely thought out the wings crumple and obviously the mechanism catches too much that she didn't pop the first time or second plus it really should have a built in rechargeable battery with a cable instead of disposables if you lose all the progress when it dies

Okay so after further thought yesterday I decided that it definitely does need to be rechargeable that'd be great. However I believe I held down a button for a longer amount of time which reset the toy changing the batteries didn't do that

The fact that it uses disposable batteries instead of being rechargeable and you lose your progress when the batteries (kind of quickly) die and that the doll is very underwhelming makes this a "No" for me.

So the batteries being changed don't lose your progress I think it's because I tried doing a whole bunch of things and I actually held down a button for quite a while which I believe reset it. I was actually thinking about this yesterday and also determined that it would have been better as a rechargeable product. I'm going to send an email to the company.

Agree. I was interested until the progress was lost. I have an off-brand tamagotchi I got with a magazine over 10 years ago and from the start it would reset itself randomly, losing progress. I can see kids raging if they lost progress and an expensive toy like this is not worth the risk. Especially since kids tend to throw/hit things when raging. And I'm really confused that it's not rechargeable.
