This is going to be a cool build, it will be interesting to see how the suspension comes together and works..

+UkWheelHorseBloke Yeah man thanks, got 3 versions of the 4 bar rear end on the drawing board, would ideally like to run triangulated 4 bar like discussed in the video, just have my doubts how it will behave with a chain drive, so have one with a panhard bar and another mysterious version in case ;)

Hello, love all your builds especially the little bastard I'm thinking about building a similar one I was wondering where you got the parts for the 2 speed and also the shotgun ignition that's in this video any help Will be greatly apreciated
@WrenchLife8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Zach, the Shotgun ignition comes from ooracing.com in England, they are a company that specialises in the tuning of these small engines, this is also where i got the 2step ignition, (which is what i assume you mean by the 2 speed?), there are different variants of it depending on what charging circuit type your engine requires so be sure you get the right one, unfortunately you can only run either the shotgun or the 2step at any 1 time, they essentially do the same job, (altho the 2 step requires an external coil unit). both units are extremely well put together ;) building that tractor was a minefield of trying to get stuff to fit and trial and error so allow plenty of time lol, but its worth it ;) let me know how you get on sure, Jon

Thank you for getting back to me Jon. Sadly here in the states i cant get those parts, Ill figure it out might be using a different motor now that I cant use those parts well i can just i cant get them here in the states. Keep up the good work love seeing your new projects. Best Regards Zach

Zach Russo, thanks man, I think the main pit bike place I know of in the states is called 't bolt' they have all kinds of stuff too, even if you check out ooracing to get a good description of the units there may be something available there? even the new Honda grom motorbike uses a similar engine so there's a growing market of aftermarket tuning components for them which may be a good source. The hardest part about this project was finding all the bits lol, you'll sort something out sure 😉, Jon

Yes haha I'm a big bike guy race motocross built alot of bikes and I've got a pitbike motor laying around kinda what sparked the whole idea one day out in my shed looking for something cool to build then I remembered what you made so that's as far as I've gotten ordering axles and all that after o get my plans done and see what I can use for parts that are available to me, Zach

I guess your building a front engine go kart
@WrenchLife6 жыл бұрын
There's a lot of crossover with a go kart for sure lol, the main idea is to build something scary, the project has been on hold for a while but will be finished, we even tested the engine in another chassis... It's fast lol 😁

with a 16hp vanguard even fully built you wont make more than 35hp if you want some serious vanguard power send me a message on facebook @carrierperformance
@WrenchLife8 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, we will try and add as much power as possible when the build is drivable, my main concern is how the suspension makes the thing handle, saying that, it may even end up with a bigger vanguard once i get the handling safe and predictable!, but i think we could do a lot with 35hp :) I've to get the valve train and cam upgraded for sure so ill be in touch, thanks, Jon
