It's even more impressive when you consider it was a second unplanned change after the injury. That's why Jericho is visibly PO'd and yelling that he's hurt, cause they had an out figured out but the ref messed it up due to a miscommunication. Lita really had heart when she wrestled. I mean she could grapple, brawl, be a manager, hero, heel, antagonist...she even wrestled against some of the male superstars and won some of those matches. She thrived in the tag team division. She fought with weapons and did some hardcore type matches. I hate that WWE got involved in so much of her off screen affairs and painted her in a certain way towards the end of her career. You can clearly hear Chris say he is hurt twice like come on ref and good on you Chris i don't care what people say he has saved a ton of superstars from injury or death in the ring!

Becky & Charlotte vs. Asuka & Kairi TLC match. Kairi gets concussed, Charlotte fails to see it and powerbombed Kairi through a table (despite her obviously trying to call off the spot), Becky clued in after and rolled Kairi under the ring so she could stay safe. Asuka carried on alone and won, likely the planned outcome but good on Becky, shame on Charlotte. Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle 2 out of 3 falls. Beth had already won the 1st fall, Candice was on the top rope when Beth shook the rope so she'd crotch herself. However, Candice lost her footing and fell awkwardly into the ring on her head and shoulder and was knocked out (concussion and broken collarbone) The ref gave Beth the instructions to pull her out and cover her immediately. May have been the intended result but would have gone longer. I'm sure Miz and Cena vs. Nexus was botched. Miz and Cena won the tag titles, but Wade Barrett got on the mic and said they were cashing their rematch "right now" in the rematch, Nexus regained the titles. Hope it was a botch, it wouldn't make any sense otherwise.

One thing I love about some of these is how the bigger names will give the spotlight to the injured wrestlers by giving them the W. It's not much, but it must have felt special to some of these guys and taken the bite out of the injury a little.

Neville missing WrestleMania 32 is likely part of what led to Zack Ryder being given the win in the ladder match
@MandalorianRevan2 жыл бұрын
No, that was because of an internet leak that stated the Miz was going to win. Considering The Miz best him the next night on RAW, it's likely true. Still, Ryder winning the IC Championship will always be one of may all time favorite WrestleMania moments.

Rated RKO vs DX is my favourite tag team match but I never knew it was off the script at the time. Just shows you how great HBK was

How do the audibles get back to the wrestlers? Does the ref tell them?

Were those last second moves, or just planned changes? I wonder if AEW does the same thing, or the superstars changing the outcome themselves

Punk was always gonna end up with the title. Nancy’s sister said Benoit was originally going to be the eventual winner. He was then to go on as champion, for a few months. Before, retiring to Punk.

I totally forgot about The Boogeyman until he was mentioned. I remember first seeing him appear on TV a few times but he left just as quickly as he appeared.

Crazy to think Vince called for Punk to win. Imagine where we would be right now had he not done that, likely playing a huge role in the Punk we know now.

Jericho, HBK, Taker, Kane, Bret Hart and HHH are some of the best quick thinkers and safest workers in the ring, many won't agree with me but these 6 are class acts.

I refuse to believe Taker's streak being broken was designed and it wasn't changed on the fly when Taker was visibly concussed... All this design to break the streak is a kayfabe cover

#1 should have been Mickie vs Trish, at Backlash 2006. Trish broke her hand, early in the match. They decided, without the referees knowledge, for Mickie to get disqualified, by choking her out. Mickie lost the match, but retained. Trish was supposed to win the title.

The Jericho vs Neville and DX vs Rated RKO were the 1st 2 that came to mind when i saw this title.
