That should of really happened. I think they should of changed it around to be: Taker vs. Angle , Mark Henry vs.Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship to make Rey winning a bigger deal and then having Orton thrown into the US Title match. Or, make it Orton with the World Title vs.Rey.

Shawn Michaels starts a feud with Eddie Guerrero; jealous of his success.They mention that both men faced against Angle at the prior WM's, but HBK lost his match & EG won his. Solomonster always forgets...Undertaker vs Triple H has happened 3 times at WM. The first match they had years ago at WM was when Taker was doing the American Badass gimmick and it was a no DQ match. I personally think that match was 4 times better then the last 2 WM matches they had. Triple H and Undertaker are 2 of my all time favorites but that "End of an Era" match in the Cell wouldn't make my top 10 list of matches for either one of those guys.

The Rock returning to face the wwe champ at royal rumble 2013 ruined the chance of Punk Vs Cena. Instead we got a great match of Punk vs Taker and a pretty bad match of Cena vs Rock 2. To be honest, had the rock not returned and got the main event, i think punk would still be wrestling

Totally agree that they should of done Taker Vs Cena while the streak was still alive, like he said just having in the back of our minds that they were going to put Cena over would have everybody ready to explode, every near fall Cena got we would of been ready to put our foot through the screen of the tv, then when Taker hit the tombstone and got the win, the relief everybody would of had couldnt be rivaled by anything. They always talk about wrestlers telling a story in the ring, well that could of been the best drama anybody had ever witnessed.

Hogan vs Stone Cold is the one match that should've absolutely happened at WrestleMania! Sure they could've done it at SummerSlam, but it wouldn't have been as special as if it happened at a WM, in a big open stadium in front of 80,000. I've heard Austin say two different things about WM18, a few years back he said that he was pissed off because he felt that it should've been him vs Hogan, and in most recent years he's changed his tune & says he didn't want the match!

Goldberg VS. Stone Cold Steve Austin should have happened, Brock Lesnar VS. Scott Steiner would have been nice, Shawn Michaels VS. The Rock could have been a classic, and even Booker T VS. Shawn Michaels would have been great if they booked it right. Booker has spoken in many interviews that Shawn Michaels was the one guy he always wanted to feud with a face that he never got to so a WrestleMania match between the two would have been awesome. Also I would love to have seen a Kharma VS. Beth Phoenix WrestleMania match! I think Kharma and Beth had the potential of being one of the top 3 greatest women's matches ever at a WrestleMania event.

I love the Punk/Taker match from 29 and all, but that match really didn't need to happen. The build was great and the match was alright, but the timing for Cena/Taker that year was perfect. Punk could've gotten his Wrestlemania main event he so vehemently bitched about against The Rock to regain the title, and Cena's Road to Redemption storyline arguably would've been way more compelling if he were taking on The Undertaker.

Hogan v Flair not happening at WM8 was criminal. Horrible decision. And honestly, the Austin-Hogan match wasn't as good an option as Rocky. The reason that match is so great is because the crowd refused to cheer the face and turned Hogan face. I think Austin would have been cheered more and thus, the crowd wouldn't have been as hot. I guess we will never know

IMO I think we really did miss out on a Shawn Michaels vs Eddie Guerrero (rip) match, if you think about it logically then you'd understand that those 2 guys would've probably gave us one of the bets matches we ever seen, just consider both their history's, they were both flamboyant & both trained in the classical Mexican style, and both of them had adapted their styles to fit the American market, they used to say that Shawn & Eddie both were incapable of having bad matches, so imagine what kind of match they would have given us, IMO it would've been a match in the same esteem as Steamboat vs Savage @ WM3, Angle vs Michaels @ WM21, Angle vs Benoit @ Royal Rumble 03, & John Cena vs CM Punk @ MITB 2011.

Eddie & Shawn were both going to be part of the Raw vs. SD elimination match. I'd bet money that their feud was going to start there. Randy Orton pinned Shawn at the end of that match, and Randy got Eddie's spot in that match after he died

It wasn't a nostalgia pop Hogan got at WM18, or at least not completely, not the first time Toronto fans cheered when they "supposed to boo him". In 99 when WCW finally figured out there was more to the world than just the south-east and Las Vegas and did a Nitro at the Air Canada Center, Hogan who was still Hollywood got a big cheer, and Diamond Dallas Page got booed when he called a scumbag. Not many people in that weird city is going to forget the Big Event at the CNE in 86 or WM6. I think it was more not understanding the market they were in. W.C.W(who I believe only went there because of the Skydome Raw) certainly didn't and the W.W.F misjudged it. Good or bad, they loved Hogan there. Which given they still support the Maple Leafs, may not be a completely positive assessment.

The top 5 matches i wish they wouldve had at WM are 1.Bret Hart Vs Shawn Michaels WM13 (even tho the The match Hart had was a classic, He still shouldve got the belt back) 2. Apart from the obvious main event everyone would loved to have seen, Hulk Hogan v stone cold. Id loved to have seen Austin v many people but him vs savage would have been really intense or the warrior vs Austin. The warrior and the rock too would have been interesting. Michaels against savage was the one savage himself actually pushed for back in 93 he could see where Shawn was going and believed he could have had an even better match against him than his match v steamboat. It always bothered him he never topped that match or equaled it and seen the type of match he would have had against Michaels but was told he was too old to wrestle anymore and was to stick to commentary. McMahon really missed the boat on that one. Scott Steiner vs lesnar or shamrock v lesnar.

as far as I know they planed Cena vs. Hogan for WM 25. But Hogan needed backsurgery and Vince got pissed which lead to tensions so Hogan went to TNA the same year.

But WM 25 was in 2009 Hogan went to TNA in January 2010!

I can think of two other WM matches we could potentially have gotten but for want of a few nails: 1) Shawn Michaels vs The Rock. Didn't happen mainly because of HBK's back injury at the 1998 Royal Rumble that led to his 4-year retirement, which was around the same time Rock was truly on the rise as a top star. Fast forward to summer 2002; just as HBK returns to the ring full-time, Rock had one foot out the door because of his burgeoning Hollywood career, and so his last major contribution to the WWE was putting over Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam that year. Fast forward again to 2011; after 7 years, Rock finally returns to WWE (albeit sporadically), but by this point HBK had retired again, and this time for good. 2) Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle. (This one was a little less plausible to begin with.) They were basically just never in the same place at the same time. Angle had been approached by promotions fresh off his 1996 gold medal win, but he stayed away for a few years after seeing a certain ECW show. But by the time Angle debuted in 1999, Bret Hart had been in WCW for almost 2 years, and the Montreal Screwjob, made it unlikely he'd ever come back to the WWE. Then the next year, Goldberg ended up giving Bret that concussion that ended his career, and then Bret suffered a stroke a few years later. As far as this match goes, I think the best alternative was Angle's match with Chris Benoit at WM17, and the one at the 2003 Rumble.

Shawn Michaels tried to ruin the Rocks career in the early 90s due to jealousy. They did small skits together but not matches because of Shawns ego and the Rock at one point said he had no interest in working with Shawn Michaels, that led to Triple H's push when Shawn left. Now Triple H and Rock had good matches and chemistry.

I don't doubt any of that. I understand egos and politics (obviously mainly from Shawn) played a big role into a WM match between the two never happening, as well as the other circumstances I mentioned.

The Rock vs Shawn Michaels was planned to go ahead at WM17, Shawn was eager to get back in the ring but Vince and/or HHH realised Shawn still wasn't 100% and was still kinda fucked up from drugs.

Lanny Paffo said it would have been a feud that would have dragged on for about 2 years I mean that would have changed a ton of things like DVDs about rivalries, and WWE2k14 with the wrestlemaina matches I mean everything would have changed and for the better.

One match which both parties wanted and been on at Vince for a long time to let them have a match was Bret Hart and Randy savage. Savage also wanted to work with Shawn Michael's as he believed he could have a match with him to equal or even surpass the steamboat one. Bret also very hulk Hogan in 1993, according to Bret that March was supposed to happen at the Summerslam that year and Hogan dropping the belt to him as he was leaving. He is still angry with it because he thought Hogan didn't want to drop it to him and he should have because he was leaving for WCW lol. Anyone get the irony and hypocrisy there....

I was just going to say Demolition Vs. LOD. I admit I'm a huge Demolition mark (in fact, Barry Darsow has said that me and my friend Joe are the biggest Demolition fans in the world lol) but Vince screwed them over once he got the Junkie and Johnny Ace's brother.

I believe WWE's biggest ball drop and regret was not having Hogan vs Flair. There was no excuse for not letting that happen.

The Original main Event for Wrestlemania 2 was supposed to be Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage Hogan went and told Vince He would rather face Bundy than Savage because Savage posed no real threat to Hulks Title. Wrestlemania 6 main Event was Suppose to be Hulk Hogan and Zeus but was switched to Ultimate warrior since Zeus left Wrestlemania 8 Main event was Supposed to be Hogan and flair but was later changed to Savage and flair

I believe ur WM2 match is false. macho was not even IC champ at that time he was not on the lvl as Hogan then as he was at WM4 and continued to be rest of time in WWF before leaving.

Mr perfect vs kurt angle wrestlemania X8! How the fuck did it not cross vince mcmahons mind not to do the match. Angle had nothing to do and battle kane for the 10,000 time and Hennig came back in great shape and despite them calling him a legend the mad him a jobber. Could've been at least a 15-18 minute classic! And it would've been a Perfect (pun intended) way to end Curt hennigs career. ):

Because Hogan was paranoid that Savage would take his place as top dog. The Mega Powers was created just so Hogan could be at the top of the card without being champion.

And I always thought Austin vs Undertaker could have been huge at WM2000 and saved that card from mostly gimmicky and comedic matches. I would have had both guys as a face and do a No DQ. No titles. Just a grudge match to see who the ultimate badass was of the era. I know they had matches all through 1999 but I think it could have been American Badass taker vs the rattlesnake with taker going over. Shame both guys were injured at the time.
