It wasn't being fickle, it was the fact that WWE failed to learn the lesson about forcing the obvious guy to win the Rumble - and that a year later was Reigns himself because they realized they'd missed their chance to do it in 14. All the booing and hatred of Reigns' push began with the 2015 Royal Rumble.

Reigns getting love from the Rumble crowd basically spoke to a problem bigger than Daniel Bryan not being involved. Fans are sick of the same old faces in the main event. Anything other than Cena/Orton/Batista and HHH will suffice. Fans have spent a year being entertained and impressed by Reigns, while Batista returned in very lackluster fashion and barely did anything to register a pulse. Once he entered the Rumble, I completely forgot about him because I was too interested in The Shield and others. I can see why fans revolted and its sad others say the fans ruined the Rumble. NO! WWE got what they deserved for their determination to shovel the same old shit down our throats and tell us we're all wrong because we don't support the people they want us to.

Not taking anything away from Reigns, he's very talented (like the rest of The Shield) and most fans recognize that, but it seemed like they sided with him in a desperate 'better of the two' in anger that Bryan wasn't in the match. They were booing the entire end of the match until it was down to Batista and Reigns.

Thats debatable, but I see what you're getting at. Reigns did have a pretty good showing, and a few memorable eliminations. Think about it, other than Daniel Bryan and Batista, Reigns seemed to have the most buzz coming out of the Rumble and his was positive. He was entertaining along with The Shield. I can see why fans instantly sided with him when it came down to two.

I didn't think people started cheering for Roman cause Bryan wasn't in the Rumble and they liked him, it was a case of anyone but Batista. Very similar to the Big Show chants at the end of the EC at December to Dismember after Lashley had gone through everyone.

No way, will they be able to re-edit the 2014 Rumble into something that convinces people Batista wasn't booed to the moon and back this year on DVD/Blu-ray. Unlike the '92 Royal Rumble Batista's situation can't be fixed with mere editing.

Why should they edit the boos and cheers??? To kayfabe their PPV being enjoyed??? If people hated it then they hated it... faking the reactions just makes me lose respect for them in whole. Don't fake the replay reactions... make a better PPV so you wont have to fake it. then guess what, youll make more money from the fans buying it and you wont have to pay the editing guys to remove half of the PPV.

I don't know if it's been done before where a person has had a match and then been in the rumble, but what they could've done was have Daniel Bryan, who is being a thorn in their side, come in as #1 and tell him this is your chance to have an opportunity and have him win or have Batista eliminate him to cause a feud.

This is when Reigns could have been a made man - and the fans would have loved it. Because we wanted anyone but Batista - because it was too obvious. Ironically WWE made it worse the next year by doing the same to try and get Roman over.

IMO, should of had Cena, Orton, Bryan, in the Rumble. Get rid of the 3 you mentioned, put them in. Have a spot where Cena and Byran are 1 on 1. Can't eliminate each other. But Bryan would eliminate Cena later, when there is more going on. Orton to eliminate Bryan. Have Kane enter later, and eliminated later. Right after 30 is announced. Kane abuses his power, allows more entrants, couple more guys come, or Kane himself, re-enters as 31 (his music goes again). Roman Reigns and Batista to help CM Punk fight the administration, in the fight all are eliminated, except for RR and Batista. Then carry on as it was.

I hope this is an elaborate shoot where maybe they jerk around the universe for a minute and let us think the authority is legitimately driving wwe into the ground and at elimination chamber have a point where orton looks like hes going to win by cheating and idk handcuffs everyone to the cage and beats on them with a chair and just when it looks like hes going to win n go to wrestlemania have vince McMahon cm punk and maybe some nxt guys or jeff hardy come to Daniel brians aid with bolt cutters and the angle of vince trying anything he can to regain control of his company and unretiring because he feels like triple h n the authority are destroying what he created. hell he has a network now they could add another two hour show on Tuesdays on their new channel and have a separate feel to the wwe where all the matches are the guys we legitimately buy into n its about the action and not the politics so much and build up a whole stable of guys to the point where you have a nice little alternative to the crap they shove down your throat the rest of the time. then have themselves an invasion where Daniel bryan n punk knock cena and ortons teeth in. but lets face it you would be more likely to see a remake of the movie fight club but this time all the characters are cats with subtitles except for jared leto. I know after the mass firings at tna that wwe said they wont be taking on their fired talent but I wonder if tna would ever be able to get punk. that would be kind of nice because I would still be able to see cm punk get misused opposing a shitty authority and I wont have to fast forward through half of tna impact. I hope something drastic happens in televised pro wrestling soon. whether it be wwe absorbing another brand like ROH and let them keep doing whatever they want but start broadcasting it on their new network with their logo and maybe just have it called ring of honor on wwetv so they still have their branding on it because wwe is huge on that kind of stuff. If Bryan wins the Rumble, we all know the ending to Wrestlemania months in advance. I don't see the benefit in this. We all complain about the WWE being so predictable. At least the WWE is keeping us guessing, and interested, in how the next few months unfold.

I hear this argument alot, but doesn't Batista winning have the same forgone conclusion? Isn't this true for a majority of babyface Rumble winners? I think fans are willing to accept a predictable conclusion as long its at least satisfying. If Bryan won the Rumble, I would certainly lay down money to see him win at WM, just for the moment. Despite already knowing whats likely to happen.

Maybe the issue is, fans like yourself, keep coming back. If the last ten years have so bad, why are you back for #11? The WWE is not losing many fans, throughout this process, every complainer keeps watching. If a scripted entertainment TV show, actually makes you mad or angry, maybe it is time to turn the channel? I say sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. It's entertainment, that is all.

Tired of this argument. I watch because theres certain elements I do enjoy, and I love wrestling in general. Still the product is the sh*ts. WWE has the roster, but keeps depending on the same guys year after year. Their booking is lazy and their storylines barely make any sense, and they have a tendency to drop angles or offer the fans no payoff. Daniel Bryan being a prime example. Fans simply want more from WWE. Its hard to "sit back and relax" when you see something with potential being pissed away. Fact of the matter is , if WWE doesn't improve, I will be gone. I fell out of watching in 2002, certainly can happen again.

I don't understand how some as good as Batista was totally, crucified by the fickle fans all in favor of Daniel Bryan(and I love Daniel Bryan ...always have). He had his career ruined by the fans, in favor of another guy...while also great himself. He ended up injured probably not even a year later.
