As someone who went to the Royal Rumble this year, it was very apparent that Def Rebel is terrible. The crowd had no idea who half the people were until they came out. Most of the time, a graphic would pop up with their name before people would pop.

Jim Johnston had a good point about licensing well-known songs for entrance music. He said he was opposed to it because the songs are associated with something other than the wrestler. When I hear the glass shatter I'm thinking of only Stone Cold.

Its a bit of a double "Edge"d sword since for wrestlers with licensed themes they managed to "make it their own"...like when you hear Metalingus or Cult Of Personality, the first thing springing to someones mind are Edge and Punk respectively. What I feel could bring the best results is something where WWE, the artists and wrestlers would all work together on someones entrance theme so it can actually represent them

Austin and Lita didn’t have a match. Also, the times were different. And the Chris Benoit tragedy didn’t happen as well during that period. Which was one of the biggest reasons why they quit doing men on woman violence. I personally don’t mind a rhea versus Dominic match. If they do a Rhea vs. Dominic match, they're shooting themselves in the foot for the following reasons: 1) If they do the match, they're likely to catch such severe backlash (because snowflakes gonna snowflake) that they risk damaging the entire product. 2) If Dominic is allowed to physically fight back and, in an effort to circumvent any backlash, Rhea is told to no-sell his offense, it destroys any credibility Dominic has as a wrestler as well as making it abundantly obvious that the company is trying to pander to a certain political demographic. 3) If they have Dominic squash Rhea (unlikely, given how much time they've had Rhea dominate Dominic and how legitimately strong and tough she is, but still a possibility), they risk becoming known as a promotion that features women strictly as super-fragile eye candy, an image the women of the company fought tooth and nail to break, as well as reinforcing the idea that men are brutish savages and should never be trusted by women. All in all, I can't see an intergender match in this day and age going over on a global product like WWE as anything better than a fart in church.

Usually the intergender matchups are so ridiculously unfair that they're not believable. But, Dom vs Rhea is a way more realistically plausible match than Callihan vs Blanchard was. I'd be game for it.

The problem is that someone will always get offended not matter what it is, even if theres literally nothing to get offended from. And those people will them cause chaos and drama on social media, and advertisers dont like any drama at all. Theres a good chance some people at WWE wouldnt agree with a match like this simply because they could lose ads from it, meanig they would lose money. While I do hope WWE takes the chance with a Rhea and Dom match (maybe even in a steel cage to really hammer in that Dom cant hide from Rhea anymore) Im not too hopeful it would happen.

Tony Khan needs to understand that if he wants AEW to actually be successful he needs to change his mentality entirely, because it is clearly stuck to when AEW first was born, when bashing WWE was cool because it felt like a *heel company* because of Vince's leadership, his horrible booking, flat characters and boring, repetitive storylines often dropped for no reasons, his costantly burying the new stars from NXT to ruin Triple H's work, his way of keeping everybody else in the wrestling business down. Back then it was easy for AEW to enstablish itself as the "babyface company", but it wasn't just because of the in-ring product, which was the only element to significantly improved in WWE as well over the years but not enough to keep it from being bad because of all the rest. AEW had long-term storytelling with some pretty good initial storylines and character development, they pushed new youngstars AND they let stars from WWE come in and prove, like the fans felt, that they could be more than what WWE presented them as, which was vindication for them and their fans. The situation nowdays is completely reversed. The whole situation with Punk made Tony Khan feel so inept and everybody look so amateur and petty that now AEW feels like a heel company, especially because this happened as AEW's whole product got worse in terms of stories, characters and presentation, especially because the hired way too many people and created to big of a roster. Now stories are dropped costantly, characters chance alignment with no explanations, matches don't happen because people don't want to job or Tony doesn't want them to job, so it's pretty much WWE in 2019. All meanwhile Triple H has started doing all those things AEW was doing right in the beginning but better. Down to working with other companies too. AEW needs to understand it can no longer thrive on that babyface/heel dynamic, it can no longer feel good by comparison to WWE and bashing WWE now has the exact opposite effect it had in the beginning. It feels petty, lame and desperate. AEW needs to reset, forget about WWE, slim down on the roster, focus on the same characters week by week presenting them better, push some new stars and listen carefully to crowd reactions. If they lose anymore fans, there's no billion dollar deal that will save them in the long run.

I loved AEW when it launched and was so hype for Mox' initial title run. Throughout corona and a while after, I stuck around. But the longer it ran, the more I felt like priorities got lost in the shuffle worse than a midcard. Where's the womens division? Why are there SO MANY BELTS? What about Trios? Why are the Bucks sitting on the top of the Tag division like a chicken on an egg? Tony - if he really is the head booker - needs to get his head in the game. Back then it was easy to chill because WWE was busy imploding over itself...but they no longer are. And, they are amazing now, like actually. I know Tony can do it - but you can only focus on so many parallel things. Also, fun fact, I never knew BotB existed. o.o

I agree with the sentiment it feels like Rhea vs Dom would be a fitting closure to that feud but its how it can be done tastefully A rhea squashing dom wouldn’t be satisfying, there would need to be some level of competitiveness, i think avoiding basic strikes (no straight punches or kicks) and trying to do more wrestling moves, maybe have dom try to do more submission holds and rest holds But the ending has to be a riptide and rhea folding him up and doing “that” pin Its an interesting conundrum because i think persception wise rhea is the more dominant person of the two so going into it that general uncomfortablness wouldnt be there because although it goes against what i said above, dom slaps rhea and then rhea beats the s*** out of him would just seem cathartic I dont know its interesting debate, because you also have casual fans who may not know the whole story and that perception thing has then completely changed

they can easily do the dom v rhea match. just have him play the pure old school cowardly heel. avoiding contact, and using only eye pokes, slams, and submissions. AVOID punches, and slaps completely. Build the heat on Dom throughout the match, for a huge rhea comeback.

I think the issue with an Intergender Match between Rhea and Dom, is if Rhea wins, she cannot conceivable have another women's match where the competitor appears viable to win the match, unless they are physically more imposing. They will be pigeon holing themselves

Any company going behind a pay wall is going to take a hit. When you choose streaming you cap your audience levels... nobody is gonna pay for another channel just for 1 show..

Yes dom v rhea, theres men theres women but in the ring there are only combatants, some times reffs, ring announcers, GMs, managers, or security. But mostly combatants

Def Rebel really makes CFO$ look like the greatest producers ever. I kind of hated on CFO$ but they gave us some absolute bangers. They gave us Nakamura and Zayns themes. Not only are they good but they're really unique. Unlike Def rebels music, which all sound exactly the same.
