The wrestler in purple was ranked. He was my team mate. The year before this he got 6th that year he got 8th, and last year as a junior he got 2nd at highschool state. High level wrestler who’s won multiple tournaments and wrestled international teams and tournaments. The move wasn’t invented though just a roll through cradle as he’s standing up. Also I suspect the kid didn’t place at state even though my teammate in purple did, as the video title doesn’t make any claims about that which he probably would’ve.

Go on...was it the one where you turn the double-leg into a suplex but stand up and raise your arms higher such that you have them suspended in a meathook? Because you're not allowed to suspension hold your opponent. The meathook or Houdini is just fun to teach your mom to do to your dad.

@bradleybeauclair82822 ай бұрын
That's really good. That's really hard to do. The best way to learn something is to invent it. I can confirm that cradle technique has been around for decades. It's rare though. It's not as rare as doing a BJJ Hip toss (arm throw) without going to your knees, but instead standing AND THEN as they go over you, you lean back so they don't land on their feet (obviously this is easier when you're taller than your opponent) and so you are behind them while they're hanging...and you have an armbar from the standing such that you hook the second armbar (again from the standing) and do almost like a suplex to stack pin them. That move happens every 5-7 years. What you did happens somewhere, every meh...4 years!? Neither of which are as rare as either the magic stick or cartwheel. The cartwheel is increasingly common and the magick stick happens every 15-20 years. I'm so glad what you did was recorded and uploaded. Congratulations on being ranked.
@ZaphccАй бұрын
What
@bradleybeauclair8282Ай бұрын
@@Zaphcc Someone else was wondering that. It's all a series of complicated maneuvers which endi with a win but is too difficult to describe in a text message. Doesn't matter...20 years ago in Ohio HS wrestling, no one stood up with the outside leg specifically for this reason. Fun fact: there's a gambling mechanic in HS wrestling (since college wrestling has riding time). A lot of wrestlers don't know this but that center circle has a speficic measure like how weight classes are designed to account for some average of height and weight. When the ref blows the whistle to start the period, he's not allowed into the center circle at all...until both wrestlers have wrestled outside of the center circle. The center circle acts as a place holder until that event occurs. This is because it's geometrically impossible to throw someone without them landing outside of the center circle...if they collapse as oppose to compress (stack pin). You actually can throw someone into a stack pin, inside of the center circle, and logically...they've pinned themself. It only works if you didn't suspend them (illegal hold) or if one wrestler never left the center circle. Now the gambling mechanic...which works with or without collusion b/c legs are stronger than arms. I discussed actual physiological theory that was considered when designing the measure of the mat and for weight classes. Any high schooler wrestling any opponent should be able to stand up and escape in 2 seconds or less. And so it is...If you refuse to leave the center circle in the 1st period, and then WIN THE COIN TOSS, choose bottom and escape. Your opponent does the same thing in the 3rd period. A no takedown match...let me guess...no takedowns in OT. In double overtime the wrestler who scored first chooses....chooses bottom of course. Stand up and escape and you win 2-1. This means that a first day wreslter with no experience can beat the GOAT...if his wrestling style is don't shoot at all, clinch hard to dominate head tie, don't leave the center circle so it can't be stalling, and stand up and escape. The whole thing is a beauty contest. I figured this out 20 years ago and it was so interesting that they made a movie about my wrestling partner and our neighbor..."Pinned" with Matt Curley and Lance Palmer. They were going to make the movie anyways put the director didn't make the movie he really wanted to make. The movie he wanted to make would've looked like Project X or Semi-Pro. Pinned is more like the epilogue. I only bring that up because I've noticed all wrestling documentaries since them focus on hard conditions of wrestling. It's very similar to that directing style. Rick Flair was supposed to be in that movie. I used to see him walking around Cleveland in the early '90s. It really was Project X until 2006. Seriously, for any HS wrestler who ever reads this- give the gambling mechanic a try. Just refused to get taken down, win the coin toss, stand up with the INSIDE leg and then escape, don't bother riding him/her out in the 3rd period. Basically, if you shoot less- you win more. Unlike FPS games where if you shoot more you win more.
@bradleybeauclair8282Ай бұрын
One more thing: Pay attention to how the top 4 wrestlers usually win...Their opponent shot in from too far away. In HS wrestling, even top 8 in each state, there's a 95% chance they shoot in from too far away. A lot of the best of the best wrestlers just counter a shot that was taken from too far away. They get so experienced that they can throw a wrestler to his back when he shoots. Basically, if you're not top 4 in the state don't do leg attacks...you're just going to lose faster. In 2005, Matt Curley was beating Johnson at OHSAA state tourney and finally blew out his knee...finished 8th. Johnson took second. It was supposed to be Palmer and Curley in the finals. Johnson took 4th at 112lbs the previous season, then in the off season at an open tournament he shot in on me from too far away and I threw him to his back and pinned him. I guess you could say that I discovered a gambling mechanic and it got me ranked. I didn't get to compete for State's that year b/c I got vanned for trespassing. I was already under surveillance b/c at the first tourney of the season, I threw someone into a stack pin in the center of the circle and the ref tried to shoot me after my opponent's team attacked my team (they thought I did something illegal), the refs started shooting their flair guns to stop the riot and I had to go to the hospital (we all did, SWAT made us), I tested for alcohol in my blood. It's true story.
