This show predicted Wrestle Kingdom 9, NJPW on AXS TV, the Invasion storyline and WWE Network all before it happened. Thanks to this guy for uploading this.

Those were some of the best days. Back I. 2001 I was 13 and was intrigued by both WCW and the attitude era. It was the best for me. If I could go back as a man now and relive that era I certainly would.

thank u so much for this stuff love going back and hearing the inside stuff from meltzer during this time.. you wouldn't happen to have and dave meltzer stuff about wcw and wwf from 95-2000.. id love to listen to some insider news and reviews as the monday night wars went on from meltzer and, can't seem to find anything but, i know there has to be some stuff out there from that time.. i appreciate it

It's so eerie listening to this the day before TNA's last ever Impact. Total Nonstop Action made more mistakes than WCW ever did, yet they had a longer prime time television show than World Championship Wrestling. Sucks that two promotions will now be dead by the same stone. EDIT: TNA is still around, albeit under a different name as Impact Wrestling. The name TNA is dead, so I was somewhat right.

It's so crazy now to see how a 4.6 rating is considered a down week. I think most fans would love to see 2 hr raws with the star power they had back then. It prob won't ever happen again

last one. The UK version of this wondered if Shawn Michaels was going to be in Vince's corner and Goldberg in Shane's because 'heart-break' and 'da-man' were apparently mentioned in the build up. Would have been worth staying up until 4am for that.

It's strange to listen this hearing Dave and Bryan talking pessimistically about New Japan and the situation over in Japan and today Japan's pretty much the hottest company on the planet and it's seemingly having a positive effect on the rest of Japan right now.

@@FireProMMA I'm aware, but from the perspective of looking back now with NJPW being one of the hottest wrestling companies around right now with WWE being cold, it's somewhat weird listening to it today.

confiscating pro-WCW anti-Rock signs FFS! ever wonder if that bad guys won? WCW wasn't organised enough to do that but that's not a bad thing. Pre-determined match results fine - pre-determined fan reaction is just sick man! being able to make things the way you want them to be whether or not they are or not is power gone mad propaganda

How is it Meltzer nowadays rambles like a senile old coot who stammers over his words, constantly says "Um" "Yeah" "Like" "Y'know", and never can finish a thought when he was razor-sharp and going a mile a minute back in '01? Bryan and Vinny don't have that problem. He's 60 years old, that's younger than my parents and they never go on tangents like he does.
@PuroresuFan4 жыл бұрын
It's honestly sad to see how far Meltzer has fallen in recent years. There was a time when he was considered a reliable source, but that time seems too far gone and he just seems to hurt his credibility year after year. It may be age just catching up to him but it's still sad.
