Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that wrestling star should have been a legendary variant. His legendary mode would be called ''Crowd pleaser''. It gives him a damage, damage dropoff, rate of fire, speed and armour buff. In exchange, spotlights would be placed over him, alerting the enemy to his location. This meter is charged like most other meters (5 final blows or shared vanquishes) and it will last 30 seconds. These changes would benifit the character and make him a lot more unique.

@@DDDabber44 I think that the problem that the community and popcap have when thinking about variants is that they see them as an "upgrade" or a "downgrade" of the original character, when they should focus on the variant being unique without necessarily being stronger or weaker than the original

⁠​⁠@@emilioernesto3578I really love that philosophy and it’s a trap I definitely fell into. When I think of a balanced weapons, I think of the direct hit from tf2, sure, it can destroy light classes and sentries even better than stock, but in return, it’s a lot more difficult to use and lacks crowd control, a strength of stock. It’s a beautifuly designed sidegrade and has an example in Gw2, and that’s reg all-star, hockey star and maybe golf star. They have strengths of stock, like range, consistency at range and faster firing speed but come with downsides like lower dps, lower damage per shot and lower firing time.

In my perspective, I honestly find great use for Wrestling Star, I know he shoots slower and has decent damage, but when I think about it, I honestly find him suitable as using him for performing a Finisher, slow based weapons are the perfect idea to finish off your opponents, I say this because I adapt to most of the classes and their skills of how they can adjust in battle

Oh sweet! Another series, This one looks really promising, Im a big advocate for buffing some of the more underrated characters in the game. If you don't mind me Requesting an episode for this series, I would love to see your suggested changes and thoughts on Dr Toxic, As I think he's extremely underrated and fun to play, But unfortunately suffers from being outclassed by Paleontologist, Stock Scientist and Astronaut.

Fun fact: all stars got thier size and height depending on sports they are practicipate in. This makes wrestling star the biggest and hockey/glove star smallest. I mean i checked it in gw1 idk about gw2. The difference in size is maximal 1,5 foot so its not rly a big dif tho.

I feel like he even gets outclassed by rugby, rugby hits more damage at long range than this guy hits at close range with barely any firing speed difference. I love rugby personally because he can just obliterate classes like sunflowers and agent peas while preventing them from camping behind small cover. Have you done a video on him? I hear he’s not so good so an analysis on him would be neat. I think he’s very unique because of how you can prevent your enemies from regenerating hp and also mess up sunflower camps. Thanks!

rugby I actually feel like he almost makes the mark in terms of a balanced character, though just falls a little short. Most I think he needs is 0.5 more splash per shot and a slightly bigger radius and he'd be fine

Interesting note about wrestling Star: On PC I've been trying to grind high kill turf games with all 10 of the all-stars, with my current goal being getting 70 kills each. Wrestling in this context isn't actually the worst allstar because at the bare minimum his DPS at point blank is enough to actually kill enemies. Goalie is the worst one due to ice and longer uptime not really helping you secure kills. Hell I've even been told by some friends that goalie and cricket star 100 kill turf games don't exist, but nixly has actually gotten a wrestling 100 on wallnut hills

Popcap just buffed all star stock then nerfed the variants and never really made them better.

Well, they actually did give stock a slight nerf going from gw1 to gw2 in lowering his crit multiplier from 1.2 to 1.1 but that barely made any difference. They should’ve honestly either given all of his variants slight buff’s to compensate, or give him another nerf since he outclasses pretty much his entire variant roster in almost every situation

I'd say he's both, but more so overshadowed. Rugby Star is basically an upgrade if slow firing All-Stars are preferable, and others like Hockey and Baseball do way more damage up close

On the stats site, there’s a lil button with a cog in the top corner that enables customs stats, this pretty much shows the stats you put in through the options tab when viewing character data over what they usually have.
