About time we did this. Expect Kevin Nash in the X-Division soon. Regarding Captain Charisma, he finally got his chance with the lights on bright. He delivered and proved that he deserves a second run with the belt. What did you think of this title reign?

Christian's NWA world championship win was memorable because he became an true main eventer and showed WWE that they underestimated him and his natural talents. One of Christian's greatest moments in his legendary career

Because of TNA them not having a lot of stars made it easy for even mid card talent like Christian & Mr. Kennedy to be put over because who else they got a couple of originals & wwe's left overs

@@nyresolution1393 true. Before he left WWE in 2005, Christian should had been in the main event scene because he was super over as an top heel and had incredible in-ring/mic skills. Plus it was around the same time where Cena, Batista, Orton and Edge was elevated in the main event scene so he should been up there with them.

@@nyresolution1393 Thb I understand that like Cena and Batista was this massive babyfaces while Orton and Edge were these cocky but excellent heels. Christian's Captain Charisma gimmick was great, it just that WWE didn't do more with it. Sad because his segment with Cena at RR 2005 and Backlash promo were incredible

@@nyresolution1393 2005 and 2006 were probably the worst years of Orton s career sans the feud with the undertaker. I agree mostly with Batista and edge but 2005 for cena was the beginning of the end because by the end of it he was getting booed. Christian definitely should have been pushed.

As much as I love Christian, he’s in a weird place for me. He’s like a main event mid carder, him, Mr. Perfect, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude, these type guys. On paper you switch out the IC belt for a world belt and you’d thing it would translate the same, but it’s a little weird. Heel Christian with Tomko and AJ I preferred, Christian is a natural heel to me. His first run was pretty damn good nonetheless.

Very true, it's funny how we think of anything besides the top guys as B tier, when in reality there is A and A- tiers. Being the IC champion wasn't seen as a throwaway belt once upon a time. It was given to the best overall worker who regularly put on good matches. But I suppose we can blame that on the title being abused

@michaelraven1221

I really liked his title reign, he escaped from the political atmosphere of WWE, and got a chance to prove himself, and he really did, at the time i was still casually watching WWE and was fooled into thinking he was where he should be on that mid card (I was also only 16 so yeah...) So when he came to TNA or Impact, i was blown away, maybe that was the first moment i realized how much could be missed if a company doesn't give someone deserving a chance, (the "deserving" part is a matter of opinion but Christian's results spoke for themselves) I realize that i really learned allot from this cool moment in wrestling history. I look forward to what he does next in AEW.

It's been said Vince didn't think to much about Christian.. didn't care for his look or talent and in Vince's mind was not a main Event Guy and Vince never wanted to push him to the main event.........the thing is doesn't matter if fans or the boys in the locker room think differently..bottom line WWE is Vince's company and he has final say
@fungunsun1
@fungunsun1 4 ай бұрын
I think thats a bit of a myth or an excuse. Vince had same feeling about Daniel Bryan but yet still gave him a push, even before yes movement. I think the reason Vince hated Christian was going to TNA and elevating them to their peak. He was kind of first big wwe to tna transition, and Vince must have had the grudge forever since.

This might be a controversial opinion, but I never felt Christian got elevated by winning the TNA title. It didn't feel like "Christian is finally a World Champ", it felt more like "Even WWE's midcarders become TNA champs". I REALLY wish TNA had gone all the way with Monty Brown during that time period.
@NWOWCW4Life1

That’s quite a opinion I can’t say I could agree with but I guess fair if you didn’t see too much into him or feel he was there as champion. Do agree with Monty Brown. Alas, could of happened earlier before Jarrett lost the belt to AJ and having him aligned with Jarrett didn’t help either tbh.

@@NWOWCW4Life1 Oh man, I barely ever watched TNA in the first few years, then I caught an episode (mid-late 2004 I think), and Monty Brown just JUMPED OUT OF THE SCREEN. He just SCREAMED "Franchise guy". Him failing to dethrone Jarrett reminded me (on a much smaller platform) of Hogan failing to dethrone Bockwinkel in the AWA. Like.. WTF WERE THEY THINKING? hahaha
