Creating movement with that spinning motion is useful to defend knees also

Thanks for this complete breakdown of why and how it's done. Most don't explain it as well as you have for beginners. Keep up the good work 👏

I noticed two things in this video, the first is the ease of explaining and applying techniques in which you only need a partner, and the second better explanation covering better the basics of the movement to apply the takedown and grab techniques.

I like the simple visual cues you use for someone trying these positions for the first time. I notice u use this style of visual learning through out most of the videos. You call the overhook that needs to be pummelled in, as going for a swan dive. That emphasizes your hand must arch high and back down fast, that is essential for this particular sequence. Next if you want to finish the sequence u need pass to his back and finish. The visual pic here is using his arm as a 'whip'. You manipulate his body by rolling your shoulders then flare your elbow until you whip his arm up and over his head while you duck and step around to his back. I love these tutorials because even if I can't wrestle and I'm past my prime I learn and retain more here than anywhere else.

Hey Coach great video! I've been having a lot of success with this however one thing my training partners have started doing now is immediately retracting their leg. E.g. I have the underhook on the right side I step back (making them step forward with their left leg) but they then immediately retract their leg. This leaves their right leg open for attacks. I can hip toss some of the guys my size and smaller by placing both of my knees behind theirs but I'm wondering if you have some other options for the larger hip toss proof humans 🤣. Hopefully that question makes sense.

When the opponent has the strong overbook clamp and you go for the tani isn't there a pretty high risk of dropping your hips into the side of their knee and causing injury?

Cant you hurt your knee easily doing the "Duck trip"? Or is that not really common? Just looks like your opponent has falling body weight on your leg
