Its honestly crazy how underdeveloped wrestling is in bjj we were going over escapes from turtle and teaching the sit out and like it was crazy how many people struggling to understand the idea of a sit out a lot of people would sit out but would then just sit there the sit out is designed to create a scramble they just didn’t get it if you sit out you can’t stay there you need to constantly be moving most of the guys just decided to stay in turtle which is a terrible spot to be we need to get more wrestling techniques in bjj it will greatly improve your bjj

Everyone having the debate. Theres a reason Bradly Martin bout this dues size wants ZERO part of a 155 pounder Justin Gajthe. You guys act like a professional or daily trainer couldnt just teep the big dude in the nuts. Or be dirty.. cmon now Body builder vs a true matrial artist or muay tai guy gets sent to the E.R or dies and the Martial artist or Muay tai guy walks away. ( i say muay tai cuz its the most vaulable for hurting someone to the point of no return)

"I'll tackle you!" Tackling is the dumbest move you can make. You are basically asking to get knocked out when you literally run into someone. Best case your opponent dodges. Worst case is an elbow to the face.

From a vet CCC and later freestyle from the late 1950s - very impressive coaching. Interesting the very close similarity between Jiu Jitsu and CCC. To enter competition had to 'switch" to freestyle, recognized by BAWA etc, but found CCC much more satisfying.

One question then. What are the opposites to a single leg, what are the opposites to a double leg, and to an ankle pick, high crotch and how do I find what are those opposites. And how do we tie them together…

When bodybuilders/strongmen learn bjj or grappling they destroy the majority of people the same skill level as them due to a major streghth difference and a weight difference aswell.

Honestly ive never had any trouble throwing big guys around, the only ones to ever actually stuff my takedowns were the smaller opponents. The big guys are like a turtle when you put them on the mat but the 155lbers can actually move 😂
