They made Orton the main rival to Cena, but I always felt it should have been Batista. I really wish someone had called an audible on that, declare double winners and Imagine they go off air, "tune in tomorrow to RAW and find out what happens next!" Put Cena vs Batista in a "best of" series to finish at No Way Out. JBL's cabinet and Evolution keep interfering, screwing Cena but Batista demands a one on one at No Way Out to prove he can do it himself. I'd probably have cena go over in that after Batista helps clean the cabinet out. Both look strong and both can do a contract signing on the next episode of raw/smackdown.

Just the final four in Rumble is iconic on its own. Edge, Cena, Batista, and Mysterio. In a year’s time, their careers take a major leap. Batista and Cena go on to Wrestlemania 21 and win the World Titles, Edge wins MITB the same night, has that memorable Feud that resulted in the Matt/Lita controversy. He cashes in on John Cena at New Years Revolution. Rey wins the next year’s Royal Rumble after that iconic feud with Eddie (RIP Eddie) and wind his first World Title (for better or worse) at Wrestlemania 22. All of that started with the 2005 Royal Rumble final four. That’s insane.

One thing I have noticed is that (as a suggestion) if a PPV have a theme song for itself, it should probably be worth mentioning in videos like these. I can understand avoid playing songs for copyright reasons, but still. This one is worth mentioning. The one used for this Royal Rumble 2005 was Alter Bridge - "Find The Real". For those who do not know, Alter Bridge is also the group that does Edge's theme song, called "Metalingus". So with Edge and Shawn Michaels on the start, they get the opening pyro with "Find The Real" and "Metalingus" back to back. A bit of a concert, in a way.

A very enjoyable Rumble show. Things to take notice of with the Rumble match is it was full of the active roster and mostly everyone garnered a reaction. Also, the brand split still was taken seriously. Interesting note about HHH vs. Orton, 3 years later, that RKO counter would result in Orton breaking his collarbone.

"Tomko give me a beat." "No." My best friend and I do this exchange at least once a month (I'm always Christian), and there's no planning. We just be hanging out, driving, whatever, and I will just randomly request a beat. With no hesitation, he responds accordingly.

One of my favorite Royal Rumble PPV’s Of all time. Mainly because of the unique stage and the Royal Rumble Match itself.

I'm always gonna laugh at how Vince managed to tear not one, but TWO quads that night. Especially when seeing Edge telling the story in his interview with Inside The Ropes.

I was there for this. Vince McMahon 1000% hasn't brought a premium live event(🤣) back to Fresno because of what happened to his quads.

Best thing about Ruthless aggression era was smackdown vs raw thing. Both shows were totally different from each other

I remember hearing a shoot interview that Vince had the hallways cleared so he could walk back thru to the locker room
