💫This was the exact intro they did at the performance, that was so horrendously badly filmed, that missed everything! Filmed so poorly that none of the amazing choreography, or dancing was seen! So this was a major diss to the ppl filming, camera ppl who filmed this so poorly, showing the exact same intro performance, that was to come before BTS song, “Danger”, which is why danger was played during the credits, but showing this to show how to film it correctly, properly, with all the right angles, closeup, at a distance, as well as eye level! They were schooling, (dissing), both camera ppl as well as show coordinators, (who I’m sure did this purposely to sabotage and disrespect, since nobody else was filmed this bad), on how to film properly, while at the same time making a point of filming this amazingly phenomenal, spectacular intro performance to be sure that all army could still get a chance to see, as well as anyone else watching could see this totally not to be missed performance! 👍❤️‍🔥🔥😍🤩✨💫

The backstory is that they performed this on MBC in 2014 but the camera coverage was absolute trash (linked below) and they were so P....ed off that they released this to show how it should have been done. K-army really was, they pushed so hard for BTS and helped us so much with translating things. They endured a lot of hate for liking BTS and even bullying. I'm very thankful and they understood having fans world wide would help so they appreciate i-army right back. It's only been in the last 2 yrs that I've seen on twitter and some other platforms people trying to bash K-army and tear our relationship apart. We've had a lot of infiltrators pretending to be army or solo stans point fingers to divide army. Gee I wonder why? Amazing choreography (repeated pitch perfectly three times as we see here) that you know the boys (and dancers) practiced to DEATH and then saw be completely butchered by shoddy camera editing by the music show broadcast team to make them look mediocre or on par with the other mids on stage. I treat BTS as a seperate category. there is BTS after that nothing for a long time and then some of kpop groups. I also stopped listening to a mainstream western pop music, BTS ruined it for me. most of it seems shallow and meaningless, and while there is nothing wrong with happy summer song or cheesy love song (BTS has them as well), I tend to search for something more meaningfull and usually less popular. My advice is if you want to enjoy kpo, dont compare other groups to BTS. also: love your music!

At the very moment of that video, the boys were being evicted from their dorm because their company had run out of money bc the song they were currently promoting "Danger" had tanked on the charts. Think of this military performance as their `precursor` for actual military a decade later. BTS was a military concept from the very start around 2009 in Bang PD`s mind. I consider BTS one of the rare, if not the only, music band in global history that is now simultaneously both fictional & nonfictional military. The only other `band` that I can think of that is also both are `marching bands` in general (marching bands originated from the military at least 8 centuries ago). And now BTS are part of 2 armies, i.e. BTS A.R.M.Y. & SK Army. Both are important in their own way, because it is not all fun, games & music, folks. The DMZ is one big example of that. And as far as BTS having no `equal`, there is one reason for that ... BTS was originally planned to not be a KPop group at all. But thanks to Bang PD again, he changed his mind early on & placed the band into the KPop category. In hindsight, had Bang not have done that, we would not get the hugely successful BTS we have today in this cosmic timeline. In another parallel universe, if that had happened, BTS could still be around but might be much less popular, or they could have disbanded by now. The shade of this from the company to a major broadcasting company at a time when they had no power was epic! This is also where they started to post their dance practices (with their name bibs on) that they used to do to provide to broadcasting companies to show this is what the choreo is and how the camera angles should be to maximise the performance. They then would post them up on Bangtan TV as a gift for us as well. The move Hobi does is called a push up arch in rhythmic gymnastics. The move as I used to have to do it has a bigger arch on the back, with the head being the last body part to come up, but it's still not an easy move to do the way Hobi does it. They have included the move in a number of other choreos after this. And YES they did the rewind, which means Jimin did the cartwheel in the opposite way to his dominate leg. Spot on that other groups from the K-pop industry just pale when you put them up against BTS. My first experience of other groups was at an Asian Award show (5 hours of my life I am NOT getting back) while waiting for the BTS performance. I had heard how these other groups were so good. I was all um, yeah, no, that's what you lot think are great? And then out came BTS.

Thanks, I just listened to "Rush" 3 times in a row. That's a great song. I never really liked rap until BTS. I grew up on Bowie, Pink Floyd, Genesis (actually saw them all live) I would love to see BTS & I'm sure I would cry during their concert. . I'm retired now and my kids 3 kids are in the age range of BTS members and like a wide range of music but they like rap because they grew up on it. When I get started talking about BTS my youngest tells her mom (me) I'm banned from mentioning them, lol.

met BTS way back 2017 because of Jin. Because you knooow he's "Mr. World Wide Handsome" but didn't focus on them because I'm more on rap type of songs and also Pop Songs. Met them again on "Boy with Luv" era because of that Taeyung clip (the intro 😆🥹) But early last year Hobi came into my Tiktok feed performing "Mic Drop" live OMG it got me on chokehold. That's my turning point. This 7 people has it all. They literally put your standard high. That whenever your watching other kpop groups you'll always ends up looking for them. This seven people are the reason why i open my door to KPOP culture. They will never disappoint you. Nad when they got their solo albums you'll see their diversity and differrences. Most of their “underrated era “ just in SK and was cuz the kmedia did them dirty with camerawork , even until this day. Even when jhope did a dance competition with another idol , the camerawork was so bad, that some other people saying that the other idol was better ( he was from a bigger company ) but then a dance practice with a low ass camera in their dance room , showed go insane jhope was in the performance. Even when they made him freestyle when they debuted on those shows the camera was focus mostly on his face , so the underratment of his insane pro level dance skills even as just a rookies was to do bad camera work. Even until this day he gets dirty and people still not get it how insane he is. Let tell you he was called “untalented” during that era by Koreans cuz he was not looking appeal to them lol. So good looks and good connections are only important to the Korean audience. ⁠Ehhhh I give other k pop groups a listen, but I “listen” to BTS. Meaning I’m open ears for all but I always come back to BTS if I want to simply enjoy music itself. Even with a lot of the “popular” k pop groups right now, even when I like what i hear, it gets old pretty fast and I gotta take a break. A lot of other k pop groups are lacking in essential areas: When the vocals are there, they lack in stage presence or breath control. When they rap with great style, the lyrics are so-so. The song can be catchy but then I realize they don’t really sing or rap about more than a few subjects/themes, or anything truly relatable (to me). They have a concept, but it’s usually visual or surface level. When they explore another genre, it doesn’t feel sincere sometimes, or it’s too on the nose or mediocre. They emphasize members’ traits to show the group’s variety, but it comes off as gimmicky. Worst of all is when I’m pulled in by the hits and the rest of the album is lackluster or predictable. Then, there’s BTS, who execute it all with both intensity and finesse. They truly check every single box for me.

This performance is incredible! BTS absolutely killed this stage💜💜💜 They all did great! In honesty, I always find it hard not to continue to watch Hobi 🔥🔥🔥 100% Jhope smashed this!!! And his stage presence, well....case and point right there. Jhope straight up grabs your attention and pulls you in from the very beginning! And the rest is well known history, lol!!!!!

Feel the same. While I may like 1 or 2 songs from different K-pop artists, none of them make me feel the way BTS does. I can watch hours of their content and not get bored, can watch the same video over and find new things I missed, they just have such an amazing level of detail that just isn’t there when I watch other K-pop artists. When you see their choreography it is just so impressive and their music videos are just next level art. So I will happily stay in my BTS lane. I hope you watch a choreography practice video it’s amazing to see it, and if you want a run one, 21st Century Girl is hilarious as they did it during Halloween and their costumes are hilarious.

I honestly completely agree with you! No one does it like BTS! I've liked a few songs from a few other groups but you're right it's definitely not the same. To me I put BTS in a whole different category from Kpop. There is BTS then there is Kpop and that allows me to enjoy other groups for what they are, and makes sure that I am never comparing them to BTS because there truly is no comparison. In my mind it would be like trying to compare Elvis to Eminem you just can’t. I do enjoy many other groups songs but not their whole discography like I do with BTS.

bts ruined kpop for me too, in a good way😅. actually, I used to be a casual kpop listener in the early 2010's, but grew fed up of it when too many groups started to pop up & as a result I felt that the music quality was going down the drain. so I was about to give up on kpop when I decided to give bts a chance, & that's when I started stanning a kpop group hard for the 1st time, & since I already had a glimpse of other kpop groups, I didn't wanna waste time checking out other groups either. now, of course that's personal taste, ppl have the right to like whatever they want

If you haven’t already, their dance practice for “ON” is probably one of my absolute favorite choreographies of theirs and while their movements are always sharp, taking away the singing aspect so they are just focused on dancing is something else entirely. It’s just under 5 minutes of straight choreo. You are correct, they are unmatched💜
