I've heard a lot of theories about fighting The Forbidden One in the League of Heroes event. I really hope they aren't true. Similar to Coach, I think 99% of the fun is the fact that they're a mysterious figure that we know nothing about. It'd be a let down to me if we fight them in a quest-like boss battle and they disappear forever.

There's one thing we had to retcon from the Forbidden One and it was how it was created, the IG response to the message was done without consultation from those who write the lore, so I can 100% confirm that it's not cannon. We'll explore how they were "born" this year, but for now, it's not the right time yet.

I'm more newer to rec room, I've been on it for almost a year, and I actually saw the bucket floating around the rec center outside the windows. I thought someone was glitching the game out or something, and I asked people if they saw a purple bucket floating outside, and they said no. And I knew I wasn't trippin cause I took a picture of it, and did a clip of it to make sure I wasn't trippin. It scared me like a very small bit at first because of its weird eyes but I got over it. I just so happened to stumble upon an Invention of two "Bucket cubes" and saw that purple bucket that was flying outside. So now I know im not trippin.

my theory on the forbidden one (ok this is a huge stretch) is that when coach was a regular player, when they first joined, they wanted to have some fun while they were bored, so they picked up a bucket, and decided to troll a random user in the rec lobby by placing a bucket on top of their head or "bucketing" and it was forever attatched to his head as the product of a hacker placing in a random purple bucket that would have terrible effects on whoever gets bucketed by it.. and, it turned him evil as a byproduct of the bucket, and now he seeks revenge on coach, and all of rec room...

4:55 ok so I know BVR said that he’s pretty sure the voices in your dorm was caused by a glitch but about a year and a half ago this happened to me and it really didn’t seem like a glitch Ok so basically what happens is it had been another causal day of rec room I had gotten on I was chilling in my dorm for about 20 or so. I took off my headset for a quick moment to help my family out with something and about 2 minutes late I came back and put my headset back on. Me at the time a low level who had only started playing around 4 months ago at the time didn’t know anything about the forbidden one or any lore but basically what happened was I put my head set on and I was moved from in front of the mirror to the corner of my dorm when suddenly I heard a little girl laughing with strange back round noise. From my pov it went: headset on I look I’m in the corner of my dorm and for a second I hear a girl laughing and then a second later the orange bubbles respawn me to the login page we’re I get freaked out and take my headset off So yeah sorry for long comment but there is more to this and how back then it was the old login screen but I’m not gonna go to into it believe me or not I swear this had happened to me and it really felt like a hotter scene with the strange backround sound too anyways if you have any questions to this story or don’t believe me please ask me or tell me since I’ll explain it better

I feel like there was a band of creators that made rec room. They all worked togeather to create a safe place. Once they discovered that new material TFO got infected. Coach and the others used a bucket to hide the infection to keep him safe. The corruption over powered him and took his body over. This made his abuse the power he had. i think that the forbidden one was made when someone on the rec room science team used the color mentioned in the tape to recolor a bucket. in the tape they mentioned how the color should only be used for basic shapes the color might have been unstable leading to an entity being created.

I have an idea, what if the “plays” are all build-ups to the forbidden ones lair? Crimson, in a forest-like setting, trying to find the mythical “forbidden one” Isle, swimming out of the forest island and trying to find his castle lair. Golden, going past castle defenses. I have a theory, I know that the name "The Forbidden One" came from the shadowy figure, but was that the The Forbidden One? The Forbidden one usally has a purple bucket while the shadowy figure is just a untextured, un(meshed?) Player character, but what if it is a player character that has had somothing happen too it to change it, what if its been corrupted? Maybe the Forbidden one has the power to corrupt, maybe when the Forbidden one was talking about how he was connected to coach, he was talking about how they are a yin and yang, Coach fixes and builds while the Forbidden one corrupts and destroys, but they share somthing in common Idk its just a random theroy in my head, it most likely will be wrong and im not sure if others have the same theroy or not.

I've been thinking about this... entity for a while now. In fact, I was so interested, that I wanted to make a short movie about it (and still want to). There’s more info now. TFO is present during an event that happened in Rec Room, called Save the Roomiverse. It was set in a futuristic purple lab with a bot at spawn to help with any questions you chose. TFO will spawn when in the lab you collected 6 circuits scattered around, which when collected, will to the Forbidden one to spawn and give a detailed gun while the text says, somethings going on in the middle of the room. . . The gun can give you 6 shots with no reloading, that when shoot, spawns a portal. It doesn’t do anything. Also the text above the doors in the lab will change to random verses that are possible crypts. The event is over but the room is still there!

I'm going to tell you how the forbidden one was formed. Rec room was going down for several maintenance 2. Everything was going dark 3. The bucket turned purple the character was going black and that was how the forbidden one was formed.
