As an employee im happy they did this. As a collector ime especially happy. Unfortunately we offered this gentleman $7 cash for his copy of resident evil 2 on ps1. Luckily i cqught him in the parking lot and offered him $20 out of my pocket since we cant do that in store.

I got a rare $80 used Spiderman game for ps3 for $25 at GameStop recently. It's only Wii and ps3 retro at my Nevada GameStop but I like seeing it. Some games are 25¢

Funny he brings this up. Was in a Gamestop yesterday. Not much in the way of retro but he had us come behind the counter and pick through 2 drawers of 360 games , xbox , ds , 3ds , wii. Walked out with a few games. Got smackdown vs. raw feat. Ecw for the 360 for $1.90 regulary $15.99

Saw the prices on some of the games posted in the video, it's way too expensive. I get most of my games from Ebay. They are cheaper and in much better conditions.

So I went in too GameStop because I had to stop in a store that was in the same shopping mall to pick something else up and I saw the sign saying there are taking in retro games again and I got so happy! I had pro member points and my $5 dollar monthly coupon. I bought Animal crossing wild wood and Pokémon mystery dungeon blue team rescue on the ds. With my discounts I ended up paying $47 even! I’m so glad retro is back at GameStop!

I’ve only been to one independent shop that had decent prices. Gamestop does much better on pricing so I’m hopeful they continue in this direction. It would be great for collectors to have another alternative.

Yeah i love gamestop. Mostly just cause it sucks to have to go to walmart and find a spot then walk all the way to the back. GameStop you just walk in and bam video games. Love mario golf on 3ds too, spent lots of hours in that game

the stores usually keep previous gen in their drawers, because they need more space for funco pops and various other toys, but they recently just did a big price increase on their older stock, which is probably why they are advertising it more, for that sweet sweet profit.

I actually recently went to my local Gamestop and someone trades in a complete copy Resident Evil 4 for Gamecube. Of course I had to buy it! Also, I mentioned it in another video but Sonic Generations is one of my favorite Sonic games in my opinion. Love the music as well, still listen to a lot of the remixes today.

I went to GameStop in royersford PA and found 3 loose ocarina of time for the 3ds and mostly every loose Mario 3ds game. I found super paper Mario had to pick it up for $22. Pokemon revolution for the Wii disc only too

I went into my local Gamestop yesterday after seeing this video and snagged a Paper Mario for N64 for $65 and Wii Sports Club for 55! They had an entire stack of 64 games in the back... it was honestly kinda mind blowing to see. I have a feeling that this will be short lived and that they're just doing it as a last ditch effort to keep their business alive... but I guess we'll see where it goes this time? GS isn't so bad. Last July I found Pokemon White Ver 2 and also Black Ver 2 for 70 apiece when they were worth 100 apiece only because I asked to look in the drawer behind the counter. And because it was member weekend got 20% of might've paid 60 apiece w/tax, if that.

This is slick... makes me happy. physical games will bring in customers who will likely buy some random stuff as well, socks, shirts key chains etc that they probably have a tremendous make up on... I know retail floor space in most game stops is limited, well at least I can speak for the ones by me. But still a good idea. On another note I seen you at Corgs in Columbus Ohio last month, I wanted to say whats up, got side tracked, then side tracked again and so on. LOL.. Hope my city treated ya well !!! My GameStop has been doing this a long while. They carried 3DS games and PS3 ones. My friend who is there made a point to get PS3 games in and knows I collect. He's happy they can get Vita , PS2 and more in now. As he feels the retro market is worth it. Hopefully it keeps running. I have almost all the PS3 games you showed lol.

It hasn't really caught on in my area yet (so cal - inland empire to be exact) but wow...this is really going to be nuts if you belong to their Power Up rewards program ($15 a year going up to $25 a year), you get a $5 coupon every month and you earn $$ rewards for purchases (not sure if retro games apply, but it does on newer games and swag), its retro hunting for CHEAP. We love Gamestop. No hate here.

i don't know about all gamestops but most of the gamestops i've been in the last year will either have a small case for miscellaneous old games, or would have them in a drawer. As others have said, they are absolutely committing too much square footage to funko clearence and random naruto x hello kitty coffee mugs and stuff

@@JoeFpoc that is exactly what it is. A bunch of Lego movies 3ds games and some Pokemon but keep checking in. I've stumbled across some great titles like Xenoblade on the Wii u, heart gold and Mario 64(N64) in the last year so you never know
