I do think that. How or why would big box stores know the release date before the public announcement? Unless it’s launching in a couple months I can’t think of a reason they’d need the small amount of space these clearance titles take. If they knew, it’d be leaked by now.

November 2024, I found a lot of Switch Games, like Mario RPG, TMNT Collection and few others for 7.99 (stacks and stacks, I was there at right place at right time) ( Back like 2016, something happened with Wii U Games, but they were .03 for Wii U Games, I know, nobody will believe me, but its true!

Thing about physical games is that they will last a very long time if you have the correct of proper hardware to play and all digital can be easily lost forever if you lose an account or forget a password or lose access to the Internet.... physical copies are still better

Funny on Thursday i went to my local target looking for something other than Video games but i decided to check them out anyway. I ran upon the clearance section and ended up buying 4 ps5 games which was H forbidden west complete edition, Jurassic park,Wrc and mirage deluxe edition totalling $56 for all...🤗

I bought so many clearance target games this weekend it was ridiculous. I added 20 different PS5 games to my collection & also bought like 22 Forbidden West PS4 games for $3 each. GameStop takes it in for $13 when putting it towards a new game or preorder.

Best find was Helldivers 2 for $12, everything else was understandably on clearance.

Target has those clearances from time to time. You just have to keep an eye out for them. And they vary from all game consoles. True story I ended up getting Final Fantasy 7 remake intergrade for the PS5 for $20.99 on clearance. I had to do a double take because at the time the game was going for $100-200 on the bay. I remember texting a friend asking him is this for real? Sadly, they only had one game in stock.

You crazy OG!! Just ordered Daemon x Machina which cost me $70 it ranged from anywhere from 70 to 80 only the mass-produced undesirable games are being sold off because of the Switch 2. Nintendo is the only one not getting rid of physical media in the foreseeable future + what has me going back to them and staying back after November 2022. Was a PlayStation guy before that. You're right though, physical media is dying off except for Nintendo. Much love to you brethren ❣️

I really wish our department stores here in Australia had the games on the shelf like this (in acrylic cases). They used to but now they gut the games instead and stick the empty case on the shelf. I refuse to buy from these stores as I don't consider the games to be new anymore.

You save physical games are dieing out but they really arnt. Most of those games are shit tier games noone wants. The good games arnt that cheap. Also nintendo very rarely discounts anything they own.
