Jake Holmes is the singer. Even if you didn't know his name, you recognized his voice from tons of commercials in the 70s through 90s. "Raise your hand if you're sure!" "Gillette, the best a man can get!" "Help yourself to Stouffer's pizza." "Come see the softer side of Sears." Jingle Jake Holmes.

Double Mint had the twins and Juicy Fruit had that song and even Big Red had a catchy song ...the commercials for the yellow, red and green gums were much more memorable than the ones for the white gum.
