what is that electronic thingy that goes on top of the cardboard? is it as accurate as the timecoded vinyl below? looks neat
@Slynk4 жыл бұрын
It's an MWM Phase remote. It wirelessly sends rotational information to a receiver box which then spits out a timecode signal via RCAs. It's extremely accurate and feels like real vinyl. But it does have a few quirks - which are worth it. Never having to worry about vibration issues or anything bumping your needle is amazing.

Slynk Great! Sounds like I got to try it out then. Thanks for always sharing your knowledge, much appreciated.

I would like a list of generes and there bpm. Can someone point me to a good list?
@Slynk4 жыл бұрын
Well you won't find a list because there is actually no set in stone rules for BPM within genres. For example, in this video we wrote a synthwave song at 100BPM but there are plenty of synthwave songs that run at 130BPM. It all depends. Usually what defines a genre is less about what BPM it is and more about the types sounds used and actual drum patterns. BPM does play a large factor though depending on the genre. Like, drum and bass for example is almost always very close to 174BPM. It gets very blurry with other genres - but here is a quick guide off the top of my head. House/Techno/Trance/Electro: ~128BPM Drum And Bass: ~174BPM Hiphop: ~90BPM Glitch Hop: ~110BPM Dubstep/Trap: ~140BPM
@ronpaulrevered4 жыл бұрын
@@Slynk Thank you for making out a list of generes and their bpm, generally. A description of sounds and drum patterns of various generes would be cool too. A list of generes would be cool. I like lists.
