The Write Channel with Nicola Monaghan Hey there! It has been a while for the both of us. Am delighted to see you and your channel active once again. Honestly, your channel is my most favorite go to writing channel. To see you post more content made me smile. How is your writing world looking like these days?! A lot has developed within the past two years. Most of the previous two years has been devoted to world building and the overalls outline. It wasn’t until late this March when I began writing the first draft. My goal is to complete the FD by September, 2020. Will need an editor....possibly your services. So far so good. Have been working, however, I would rather be home locked up like the rest of my friends. Would get an immense amount of writing done. How are you coping during these times? Am thrilled to see you uploading new writing content, Nicola! 💙 Your way of expressing your point of view is so easy to understand. Your accent just adds to my listening enjoyment!. *Peace*

@@illudineye4469 Hello! Well, I had a book out in December that did pretty well and I'm currently writing the follow up. Excitingly, there is some potential action on TV rights for one of my novels, which I'm thrilled about. I haven't managed to do loads during lockdown, unfortunately. I'm still full time at Uni and we've moved everything online, which has created extra work not less. That said, it has made me dig out all of my audio and filming gear and made me remember that I like doing this stuff! Amazing all the progress you've made. I'm so excited for your novel! It's really lovely that you're so positive about the channel. Feedback like this makes me determined to keep going and making content. Thank you so much :D

The Write Channel with Nicola Monaghan Hi Nicola! Am so excited about your book getting the attention it deserves.Would love to see your work on the movie and tv screen! I always thought online uni would be less time consuming than attending a classroom. Obviously I was wrong. You have a lot on your plate. Fitting in content for your channel must be time consuming. But I can tell you like what you do A LOT! Am glad my positivity towards your channel has been bringing you more determination to keep your channel going! I honestly like your writing advice quite a bit. You have made an impact with my writing, Nicola! To see you uploading your writing knowledge once again is something I am grateful for. My writing progress has been significant. An unplanned character was recently added to my novel while writing a particular scene. New character has altered the landscape of the story a bit. However, NC has unveiled ways to link other aspects of the story together. I hope and pray your book is picked up and made for tv/film!! -David

I need to know what the resolution with Jon was meant to be ... In the killing jar ... Like was the dog in the shed meant to mean that Mark had done it to that boy from the trash can and jon too?

One word dialog isn't much fair for a book opposed to a movie! Sure I can tell the reader what the tone of voice and facial expression are, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Course I am my own worst critic, I stay on myself as not to use too many adjectives, not to be wordy. So if I were to do a single word dialog I would naturally attempt to speak the dialog in the characters actions, tones and facial expressions =/ I can't win lol.

Yes, possibly. But if it's all the time your writing will fall completely flat

I guess you could overuse the technique to the point where someone reading/watching has no idea what your characters are talking about. Hemingway floats close to doing this in Hills Like White Elephants but that's the genius of that story imo
