Write Here, Write Now | Writer's Rush (Authoring/Book Writing Management Game)

Writer's Rush is a game about becoming the very best author in the entire world! Aiming high!
We take on the role of an author in a competition against three others. If we finish in the top two then we move up a level and take on a new challenge, and the challenges aren't just "make most money", there's actual strategy to them which is quite refreshing!
As we write we get to choose the genre of story we're writing and then a theme. We've chosen to be an author with a bit of a sci-fi speciality so we go down the route of science fiction. I won't spoil the books we write but they have some wonderful titles!
After some optional research for our book we then get to choose our main character, we pick a plot, a story climax and the ending, plus we adjust various sliders to control how much effort we put into things like dialogue, setting, atmosphere, world building, romance and all that stuff.
We can spend money on new equipment and courses, our rivals can challenge us or work with us, we earn experience points, random events change the game, it's all going on in the world of books!

The success percentage after editing appears to be regarding the success of the editing in regards to % of errors reduced, not the success of the book. Really neat game, looking forward to the next ep!

I would have described 'Nightmares' as being more like Primer. Slowed the recording right down and paused repeatedly to see what was missed - there were definitely better options from the titles, but who knows what would have sold best. The second time I couldn't even hold it longer than 'Be' at the top before it vanished it was so fast. Maybe it should have a confirm button if it's that easy to fluff? That was fun. The stories being pre-made was a little bit challenging, but still fun. And yes, I can say that editing a novel takes at least 6 months if done right. Thank you, Mr. Penge.

@@TheGeekCupboard I have written and edited several novels in four different series (sci-fi and fantasy)... but have not been published (Okay... I self-published a couple in ebook form with Smashwords, but had no clue how to market them, so I didn't sell many). None are currently on the market anywhere. I tend to write "epic" sized novels with a lot of character development and very little if any fighting. The one series will have a big fight in the fourth book, but that hasn't been written yet.

The editing screen says bad because you didn't remove many errors, It's letting you know the editing went poorly, not that the book is poor. Ofc that doesn't mean the book isn't poor 😂.

[49:12] Yes, you accidently skipped the book "Ending Selection" screen. You ended up "choosing" the first option (Root Causes - Barry helps unite Germany in 1685, leading to the spread of Nazism through out the world.) Don't know how popular that one would have been for sales..... ;) The second one you skipped, only started filling it out before it went away. I only saw "Be" The Third was "Research Completed", but again had not finished So no stats were visible.
