Perfect timing, I was just looking back through Green Arrow. As far as long runs go, I think the only recent ones you missed are Taylor's Nightwing and Phillip Kennedy Johnson on Action Comics.

Al Ewing’s run on Immortal Hulk was also a recent but pretty long and influential run. PKJ might also have a long run for his ongoing Hulk series as well (fingers crossed).

I hope these episodes never stop coming out. Would love to hear Bendis talk about his Daredevil run, Johns on his Green lantern run, Morrison on their Batman/Final Crisis books, Simone on her secret six/birds of prey, I mean the list goes on.

I really appreciate directors commentaries in that regard. It feels like a oral history In a sense, but gives them sth to talk about

As a younger comic consumer I wish we still had longer runs like bendis on avengers, or Claremont on xmen I hate learning a great run is ending sometimes even worse when it’s editorial ending it when a writer isn’t finished if it’s good

Don't forget about Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman. They did TMNT at IDW for 100 issues straight. That was a good long run.

Theres a DC Nation article where Dan DiDio said All Star Superman was going to continue as an ongoing with Morrison, just with a different artist after he finished his run with Quietly. Obviously that never happened, but I'm curious to know what it wouldve looked like
@josora16548 ай бұрын
I think it would've been like the N52 Action Comics run. Since Morrison's Superman work takes place during different eras of the character's life it either could've been filling the gap between the end of All Star and JLA 1 Million or it could've been how Supes got started in Morrison's timeline for the character

A recent/current “long” run that is one of my favs is Moon Knight by Jed McKay and Co. really great comics that went 30 issues and is still going with Vengenace of Moon Knight!

It'll be like a mini-Con on May 3rd! Looking forward to it! And I am happy to learn my love of Flash War is justified. That for me is still peak Flash stories. And, I know this may he blasphemy, for me, a much more satisfying handing off of the torch story than we got in the 80's.

Nowadays 30 issues is a long run but normally I would consider hitting the 50 mark to be a long run, 25-30 issues should be the norm and 6-12 issues for minis

One this is for sure, a mid book with multiple writers in a short span looks terrible compared to a mid book w a single writer for many years. At least the latter has a cohesive tone and language.
