Are Chinese children taught the English alphabet? Would they know "ni hao"? or would they only recognize the word if it is written with Chinese characters? If they are taught English alphabet, why are they also taught the Chinese characters? I ask is because your videos seem to indicate the Chinese language is less efficient because it requires many more strokes to create a word. "Hello" requires 7 pen strokes in English, but 12 strokes in Chinese. That's 71% more strokes just for 1 word in Chinese. Can you tell me some advantages of Chinese compared to English?
