This is an awesome creation, though there is one thing that bothers me about it: the transitions at 15s and 36s are rather jarring to listen to. I would suggest seeing if you can smooth out the change there so it isn't so "unexpected".

ALMOST perfect, however you may've failed on what you said with "It could've been written in 1994" since it couldn't, SEGA would have to pay Masato Nakamura for the rights to remix the "Theme of Sonic The Hedgehog" track, which they didn't want to do right after they agreed to part ways on good terms.

I love it, and it blows the Origins version out of the water. One critique though, and I'm no composer, so take this with a grain of salt, but it lacks that sense of urgency once the Sonic 3 portion starts. Super Sonic is on a time limit, but this song feels like you don't have to worry about reverting and can afford to take your time.

I didn’t own Origins at the time, but I would’ve recorded S3AIR anyway. It’s superior in many ways, including music. And I can run it natively on my Mac. :P

I think it's good and is just more of a mashup of themes from other Sonic tracks, but I think it needs more time for transitions to the separate themes to have a better flow, kinda what the Sonic Symphony kinda done. It could of been cool if you added some Sonic Spinball elements to the soundtrack or even the 8 bit Sonic games at the time, and even CD as well. But I think it is pretty good, but I feel there should be more original music with the whole satisfying powerful feel to match the tracks that were reused for this track, and I think it could of have the Sonic 2 Super Sonic theme in there as well. I was about to say something with the Sonic 4 Super Sonic theme being added, but it was released more than a decade from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, so that one is out. But then again, it would be cool if there was a separate video that can make a mashup from little snippets of Super Sonic themes from all of the 2D Sonic games, including the handheld ones and etc. :) But I think you did a fine enough job for doing it. It indeed does replaces the official Sonic Origins version, but I feel it can be as cool as the Sonic Mania Super Sonic theme with enough thought and effort put into it. :)

I may be just commenting on this now, but to me the transition to the S3 intro felt like a *very* abrupt shift out of left field. Maybe given another measure or two to transition would've helped. Other than that, this works pretty well :D

Your song is good. Honestly, awhile Sonic 4 ep 1 and 2 considered bad, I like the second episode better than the first. Honestly, the song in Sonic Origins feels like it fits perfectly with Sonic 3&K on how I see, or hear it, because it brings the essence of the title screen, and invincibility song to the point that it feels like the song fits with the 3&K title. The proper genesis covers are just as good but it like the final product of the song that they used for the game. It’s just my opinion and you don’t have to like it or agree with it or respect it because it’s your choice if you want to or not. Heck, despite Sonic 4 ep 2 being considered as a bad game, I had still fun playing it on mobile.

my only critique with this theme is that it doesn't really sound as badass as the original and instead it focuses way too much on being heroic instead soo 8/10 also the sonic origins transformation theme is incredible even if it uses different instruments than the rest of the ost and i will die on that hill armed with nothing but a sack of wet mice.

I don’t think it flows well between the sonic and knuckles intro to sonic 3 intro. That section just doesn’t fit. And when the pitch goes up at the part that replicates the game’s ending went up too much. I think the part that goes after was either unnecessary or not done right either. The sonic & knuckles and sonic 3 parts were good and the instrumentals (sound choice) were spot on, but the overall composition doesn’t flow well with each other. As a musician myself, I understand you well though and I’m not talking out of my ass. I respect you making something original and better than origin’s version
