I hope you are doing well❣ I pushed through the discomfort of engaging Panster mode and wrote 1,188 words yesterday. I of course waited to the last minute🤣 Normally I am in Plotter mode, but I too just wanted to start getting words on the page. I only intended to write for 15 min or so. I had forgotten how much I love to write and an hour later I had more words on the page than I had dreamed of. I wish everyone all best words and wishes💖💖💖

Go, NaNoWriMos! Your diaries are one of the highlights for me. I set the alarm half an hour earlier every morning, let the pooches out and then feed them, make coffee and then sit down to watch your daily vlog. Just the inspiration I need. My word count end of day 2 is 2925 🎉 I say go for the air bnb, as you’ll be closer to coffee shops and places to eat. But a cabin in the woods does sound fun 🤩

Love the bat blanket 🦇❤ I hit my target of 1300 words on Day 1 - for the past couple of years I've aimed for fewer words on weekdays and more at weekends, which has really helped me to avoid zero-word days and that negative momentum spiral you always warn us about 😀

I was in a car accident on Monday, October 30th, and luckily both me and my partner are okay, but now I'm feeling like I'm behind since yesterday (November 2nd) and I didn't reach the daily goal (1,415/1,667). I've also been doubting my writing since I'm super rusty, but then I keep reminding myself that this is my first time doing NaNoWriMo and it's okay to not hit the daily mark. Hey Sarra... First thing I noticed... this video came out at 10:10 in length! You are right on time and right on track! I'd be okay staying in a cabin in the hill country alone... as long as I had my phone. LOL I would say go with what you are comfortable with. Maybe find a lodge that has the rustic cabin feel but you're not alone. Checking in with Nano every day is one of my goals. I'm going to print the badges and put them in my preptober planner. we had a national holiday yesterday so I started strong with over 4700 words. Today with work and therapy I only managed close to 1000 but I found that if I get 5K on every day I don't have to work I only have to do 500 each work day and still be done early. So that's the plan. Double down day will make all the difference!

This is MY FIRST NANO ever, I chickened out last year ... with the same story. But this year I'm ready. My project is a NA portal fantasy with kind of a fairytale-vibe, set in a medieval fantasy world and with themes of letting go of revenge and hurt in the past and the idea of who and what you could have been, and instead bravely create the person you want to be in present life of love and connection. T his has turned out to be kind of MY OWN story really, since I was a performer and singer and wanted the stage-life, but then my boyfriend (and best friend since we were 14) got deadly sick. He was all that matters then, the small moments on the hospital, playing with the hospital gear to make him laugh, reading the last 2 Happy Potter books for him in the dead of night, just to forget the painful world we were part of. He is alive and well today, we have been friends for 23 years, a couple for 19 years and married for 14, and we have a beautiful home with healthy kids and cute cats in a happy small suburban town ... But I was sad, I thought I was traumatized and depressed because of his heart failure, but this year, I found out I've had crippling ADHD. I now have a whole new level of self love and understanding, a whole new respect for my strenght and power through the hard times, and I have to remind myself that my brain helped us both in the darkest days. My beautiful daughter deals with the same issues, but she now has a mom that understand her on a deep deep level, and will always have her back through all trying times. Life will be alright. This is fun, and big, and daunting, but dont let it bring you down, let it lift you up and show you where your strenghts are. It's the small things that counts, the changing of seasons, the connection and love we all live by, and for ... write THAT.

I told my husband to not bother me for the duration of it lmam😂 but yay happy nano everyone!!! but I’m doing something’s I haven”t seen and I’ve personally never done and I uploaded a proof to kdp with huge margins and the page count is stupid high… but for my last round of edits so I’m reading my book in book form and I’m making edits in the book and let me tell you…. I’m throughly enjoying it! I’m bringing it with me places I wouldn’t bring my iPad and computer and just have a pen case with me for edit and notes etc. and with going on vacation for a friends wedding I don’t want to be stuck in the hotel room and worry about my electronics getting wet or stolen this has been a great option and again I’m loving it! I am not sure where I am! I shifted perspective, scrapped my index cards, and keep going back and forth with I'm writing it/not writing it! It doesn't have the proper arc or fit the beats, I have to decide which sidekick, I'm having trouble with my villain. So I kind of wiped out just before the beginning. I have to decide if I'm gonna pull it together or just read and journal this month. Yayyy for day 2 of Nano!

That's when I decided to clean my desk and office space while I watched your vlog. I was so excited to hear you say Day 1 would involve some cleaning as part of your NaNo kick-off.
