I'm with the BDA (Bass and Drum Administration) we can verify today's bass was very very ethically sourced and organic. Also, lol I feel attacked. This is sick, the bass just made the riff thicc, excellent choice. Could do some bass drop/slides with the organic and ethically sourced bass where you had gaps for extra prod-value and transition/accent.

I completely agree on tracking something at half speed. I'd rather have a clean, beautiful take of a piece of music I'm stoked about writing than have a shitty take of a compromise run because I'm on a time crunch. I believe it was the perephery boys who said they like to write right on the cusp of what's possible for them, then It's a challenge to learn it for live.

My only problem with recording half tempo is I get artifacts in the notes and it’s all worbly. I record DI and put the effects plug in on top. I find I can go any more than 20 clicks under before it starts sounding funky. Tips?
