Jesse Armstrong is such an incredible writer, fact that he's won the emmy for all the 4 seasons of the show means a lot
@Erasureeraser11 ай бұрын
4 seasons, 4 Emmy wins for Jesse Armstrong. There's nothing like it, you don't seen that much of a writer winning an Emmy for every single season that the writer wrote, congratulations Jesse Armstrong! You pulled off a miracle with Connor's Wedding 🙌

He won 4 Emmys for every single season of Succession yet his writing for Connor's Wedding might just be my favourite from him. Because of this Emmy win, Connor's Wedding is officially one of the greatest TV episodes ever

Succession is the most awarded tv show in Emmy history for writing, with 4 wins, behind The Sopranos, with 6 wins.
@Erasureeraser11 ай бұрын
But what Succession did better was the fact that Jesse won for every single season that he wrote. Whereas The Sopranos had different writers who won the award throughout their long 6 season run
@rickardkaufman398811 ай бұрын
@@ErasureeraserYeah. The Sopranos won for all but one for its six season run for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. It lost in its second season to The West Wing. Creator David Chase only won Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series on three occasions for the show's first, fourth, and 2nd part of its sixth season. Succession won for all of its four seasons with creator Jesse Armstrong winning for all its four seasons for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.

I think if BCS had ended several months after Succession things would've been different. Both amazing shows, but it's sad that one of the best shows in history received nothing, like it never happened.
@johnjungkook272111 ай бұрын
BCS definitely deserved something, but it can't compete with Succession in writing or most of the acting categories. Maybe cinematography or Odenkirk for best actor would have been a good one.

He also wrote on the movies In The Loop, Four Lions and wrote what is perhaps the best episode of Black Mirror (The Entire History of You). I suspect that whatever he does next will be highly-anticipated and put under a lot of scrutiny. I am just happy he won these Emmy’s because he may very well never win again; Vince Gilligan won a bunch for Breaking Bad and then won zero for Better Call Saul. I hope his career trajectory in terms of consistency making well-regarded projects looks more like that of David Simon, Noah Hawley, Amy-Sherman Palladino or Craig Mazin. Not that of Matt Weiner or Mitch Hurwitz, whose careers appear to be dead.

Who would have thought this show about the worst of America's culture, would be written by a British person?

Outsiders can notice things those brought up in a culture can't, they're not a fish in water. One reason why the woke idea you have to be something to write about it is so dumb.
