Do you hate the talkback options aswell ? I mean , it probably helps you , but i would go mad if i had it every time i use my phone.

@@olivegarden6949 i have limited vision personally. The best way i can describe it is level of detail. Buildings and other objects, unless distinct in shape are very simple in appearance, i may be able to roughly draw where like windows and stuff are, but otherwise it doesn't look like anything to me. At the same distance, people look like colorful blobs, and i can tell you whether or not a sign in the distance likely has text or not, but won't be able to tell you what that text is from my current position unless it is like a billboard and I'm standing still. From around 5 feet away i see things in a medium level of detail with my glasses on. I could tell you details about someone's shirt at that distance but not what their face looks like. At 3 feet or under detail is much greater. I usually type comments on my phone, so sometimes if I'm feeling lazy I'll type with my nose. Blind and more severely visually impaired people can also have software read off what is on screen and what keys the person is pressing.

@@elcalabozodelandroide2 Not wierd at all! You didn't understand, so you asked. Visual impairments are arguably the hardest disabilities to comprehend. Others are easier for various reasons. Understanding of visual impairments is strikingly limited in the general population

Surprisingly relevant personal story: My mother is totally blind. Not even partial vision. That said, she can sign her name in cursive. She learned the motions and practiced it until she could do it consistently. Problem is, she still needs to know where to sign. She carried a signature guide in her wallet. This guide was the size of a credit card and had a slot cut in it with one of these elastic bands streched across it leaving enough room for letters that dipped below the writing base line. It was also rubber backed so that it didnt slip when it was lined up with the place for a signature. I remember as a kid being out and around with her while she ran errands and she'd have me or my brother line it up for her, show her how far the signature line extended, mark that from above with her left hand and then sign whatever needed signing... usually checks or deposit slips.

If you've seen old or ancient manuscripts, you may have noticed all the lines of writing are straight and consistently spaced (usually). Thats because scribes used tools just like this one, though usually they merely scratched lines onto the papers or used something that was--essentially--like a pencil and eraser to remove the lines afterwards.
