This is so funny because just the other night I thought spontaneously, "maybe I should start writing to my future husband!" and then I woke up the next morning to see this video in my notifications

I've been thinking about whether to write letters for my future husband and put it in a letter box or write in a journal. I do think about my future husband and I wondered what he is doing etc. It is important to pray for your future husband. Your future husband is praying for you. :)

Hey Emily, I just wanted to tell you that as a muslim, you truly inspire me, we have almost the same vision of God and I love all your advice :) So I just wanted to thank you, because it's really easy to get lost when the society we're in are full of people who don't care about God anymore, keep up with your wise words :)

Thank you so much for sharing, Emily! I started my own future husband journal three years ago. Still going strong! And your point about accepting that God's plan may not include a husband is so, so important. :)

I am further interested in other types of things that you wrote in your little book. I know you included some bible verses and prayers for your future husband, but how do you continue to write things to your future husband while seeing/dating someone before you are sure that he MIGHT be the man you are going to marry? Did you write in it while you were seeing Daniel? Did you write in there as if you were writing to Daniel things that you wouldn't yet share with him? I would love to start keeping a book with the prayers I have already written and things that I write from here on out but I would like to know how you did it while maybe seeing someone so I know how to continue writing throughout all chapters of my life... if that makes sense. Thanks Emily!

Thank you so much for making this video! I've been discerning since my first Steubenville conference in 2015 if I'm called to marriage, religious life, or (more recently) the single life. I had always assumed that women and girls who wrote to their future husbands knew that they were called to marriage. I think I'm going to pick up my notebook of letters again and add some more as I see fit. Even if no man ever reads this, you've made it clear that it will benefit me and my relationship with God regardless. Thank you so much! I love you and your Christianity

Yeah, this is perfect for me, I already do something similar to this ... I imagine my life with my future husband but what Emily said about the possibility of her future husband not existing (at that time when she started writing in that pink journal) .. I worry about that .. cuz idk if I’ll find someone after recently breaking up with my ex (we were together for six years) and I know people say that I will find someone, but what Emily said also is true, which worried me ... I would love to get married to my future husband (whom I write about in my own journal) and do amazing things with him but only God knows what’s ahead for me.

Wow. This video was absolutely incredible! I have watched some of your previous videos, and I can clearly see how eloquent you are in your faith, and how strong you are as a godly woman and follower of Jesus Christ. I have been going through some personal struggles of my own lately, and this video really stuck out to me. You have such steadfast strength and love for the Lord. It really inspires me to hear that you prayed over your journal entries and over your life's journey. The fact that you laid down your heart's desires and surrendered to His grace and glory helped inspire a more open and deep love for the Lord within me. You are a beautiful human being, Emily, and I look up to you as a godly woman. Thank you for creating this video. Whatever inspired you to do so, it helped move a rock in my spirit. Thank you!♡ God Bless you!💒🌸🌼🌹

Thanks for sharing. I find it interesting I'm seeing this now because I started doing it this year after I began to really let go to God choosing a wife for me. It hasn't been easy letting go of my will but I'm trusting God more and more every day. I look forward to writing more to my future wife and for that day when my wife and I know we are meant to be together.

I love this so much! I want to pray for my future husband but to be quite honest, I don't even know if thats where God is calling me, and I don't want the prayers to just kind of go wasted or up in the air I guess if God doesn't have a husband planned for me. Sometimes my form of kinda praying for a future husband is just asking God that if I do have a future husband that he will be a good, Christ centered man and help me grow in my faith, but thats about it. I want to start praying for my future husband, but like I said, since I don't know if I'll have one, and I don't want my prayers to go wasted. Sorry for the long comment but any advice would be appreciated. ty! 💕

Emily I have a question! If we are to wait till marriage why do some couples say they are "sexually incompatible "?? What went wrong?
@Jesslivelifeoriginal7 жыл бұрын
Araminta Williams I have not actually heard that in real life - just online. And it's usually from people who didn't wait until they were married to have sex. Instead of taking the time to fully know and fully love someone, they included physical/sexual activity too early in their relationship. (This is just my personal opinion...) But I honestly think (and hope) that if you spend the time getting to know someone's heart, who they are, and if you choose to love them (especially if you've entered into a covenant with them), how can sex be the one thing to "ruin" that relationship? I really think "sexual incompatibility" is just an excuse - people need to communicate.

This video was uploaded at an important time for me. I’ve been struggling a lot lately with a lot of different things and even drifted from God in that struggle because I️ felt let down. Not by God. I️ didn’t blame God. I️ just wondered how it could be that I️ failed so miserably when I️ prayed and believed for victory in something important. I️ just didn’t know what to make of my experiences. But lately I’ve been making slow progress back into the Lord truths and find myself relating partially to where you were when you wrote those journal entries and realize this is something I️ could consider doing but I️ am not sure this is right for me. I️ also don’t know if a husband is in Gods plan for my life. The only sign that it could be is my desire that pour my affection into and take care of another. But I️ feel a mess in so many areas. I️ am too consumed with wanting to meet him and know who he is. In finding my worth in another’s attention. But I️ wonder if praying through it will bring me to a healthy place, or just come out as more worship... I️ have to pray about it I️ guess. Thanks for the video. I’m glad I️ found you recently

Awesome video :) I’m a young catholic guy, :) I spent two to four years praying for God’s will, Looked into religious life but God showed me it wasn’t His plan, everyone my age are aetheists in my country... zero catholic friends my own age :) all my friends my age are aetheists what can I do? :) I don’t want to marry an aetheist :)

Thank you for the video, Emily! This was very uplifting and wise. My trust in God for his plan for marriage, is something I have struggled with. My first relationship about 4 years ago was rushed in which I learned the consequences from it. I haven't been in a relationship since. As many others, I often question my singleness let alone marriage. But whether I decide to dedicate a journal, I need to be able to be fully independent and continue to pray for God's plan. Thank you once again! 🙂
