Two of my favourite authors & youtubers in an interview? Watching this during lunch for sure! And Dale, you're so right, (20:44) I also check out and read 1 & 2 star reviews both as an author AND a reader! You always kind of know what's going to be said in 4 & 5 star reviews, but 1, 2, and even sometimes 3 star reviews can really give you some insight into what's actually happening inside a book, and how the readers feel about it.

So glad you enjoyed it! :D And such a great point Dale made about the review starring system!

Hey, Bethany! Another great interview! Dale has so much knowledge to impart, and is a great guy. Could you make a video on titling books, and titling the series. I can't find any videos on this and as you are my favourite creator, I would love to see how you explain, or have someone else explain in another fantastic video.

Yayyy! So glad you enjoyed it! And that's an awesome request - I've actually done a video on that and I think it's still really valuable, so I'll grab the link for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGeYiYebatGHq68

I'm following you both for a while and I apreciate the meeting. Dale, I didn't know you were on a SF book. That's great ! Honnestly, my "child's dream" is Hard SF. I know I can catch people on space and make them believe they know science, but I am somewhat lost in terms of caracters "thickness". So I loose motivation easilly. It's definetly not easy at all... I'd like to have some tips. Don't forget that your genre is "horror" with the SF tools. And my genre is more pioneer corporate fiction with hard science. But I'd been interrested in hearing you. Thanks both !

Yay! That's awesome to hear! And it's easy to lose motivation, that's so normal - I actually do have some videos on motivation if you search that plus my name here on youtube! :)

Were-bear shapeshifters?!? I'd read that! As an author, I like an outline too, but I'm open to letting the writing process tweak it along the way. Thank you to you both for a lively nonfiction writing discussion. Non-fiction needs love too. 🙂

Bethany, do you have any contacts for authors who are writing non-fiction from a biblical or religious perspective? I'm writing a book on biblical barreness and infertility struggles today. I would love a good contact for my genre to brainstorm with and connect with
@BethanyAtazadeh Жыл бұрын
Hey Crystal! I'm sorry I really don't have contacts on that personally, but you're welcome to come visit my patreon where there are tons of different writers in my discord group! I know we have some nonfiction writers in there!
