Im in 8th grade, never been held back before or went to summer school, online school is really making me lose focus and fall behind because i get distracted easily and can't concentrate, im currently failing in math and my parents don't know so im trying really hard to get my grade up with missing work but i struggle in math and my teacher isn't the best at explaining things to where i understand the concept so thank you because im still confused on slope intercept form but this is making it a bit easier!

i know this vid was 11 years ago, but how do you choose which point will have the is x1 and y1 and which has the x2 and y2?
@vansh_____y6 ай бұрын
0:30 he told that very clearly
@JoeCnNd4 ай бұрын
if you mean how to choose say (-12,6) which is the x1 and which is the y1, you just look at them and know x comes before y in the alphabet, so the first number -12 is our x value and our second number 6 is our y value. Not sure if you were asking that, but thought I'd give it a shot. If you mean which set of numbers are the 1's and which is the 2's, it doesn't matter as long as you keep both those numbers as 2's or 1's.

when he got a negative 6 why did he add a positive one ? do we always do that ?
@PearceHunt5 ай бұрын
Because -6 -6 is -12 so if you +6 its 0
@JoeCnNd4 ай бұрын
He wants to get rid of the -6 on the right side of the equation, he adds 6 to get zero and what he does to the right side he has to do to the left side of the equation, that's why he added 6 to 9 and the equation became 15=b

It's hard to see at 3:04, 3/4*-8/1, gives you -24/4, which reduces to -6/1 or just -6. He just made the -8 into -8/1 which is the same thing and times across from 3/4. Edit: at 3:18 it shows the equation written out.

how did 3/4(-8) go to -6?
@lolyea9360 Жыл бұрын
3/4 times -8 gives you -6
@lolyea9360 Жыл бұрын
3/4 x -8 = -6
@pacla3370 Жыл бұрын
you can also divide -8 by 4 and you get -2 (-8/4=-2), then multiply -2 by 3, since we're looking for 3 quarters, and you get -6. (-2*3=-6)
