My husband has a really good printer. Laser I think. So we print all our workbooks out because it's like a penny a page. But it makes so much sense to figure out if it's worth it to buy another copy of the book or print. We use our books 3 times. So buying three copies of one book is more expensive. But for you for one child I would totally just let them write in it.

Yeah my printer is very expensive to use. Maybe one day I can get a more efficient one.

Thanks for the flip-thru! Since you use this with LLATL do you do this on different days than the other curriculum? Or how do you schedule this in? Also, is Level 1 similar just easier/shorter passages?

I haven't used level one, but I would assume that it is easier. I do them both together on the same days. Neither one of them take a lot of time. I do tend to skip over some of the more intense writing in LLATL since we are doing Writing With Ease as well. I find that overall they work really well together.

I started my little one at level 2 for 3rd grade. We had never done this program as well. I would go to Rainbow Resource. They have samples you can download to get a better idea of where your child is at.

My son is going into 4th grade and I’m confused where to start him with this program. Can I jump in at level 3 or do you recommend I start at level 1 and work from there. My son gets frustrated with any writing so I want to go at his pace but at the same time I worry about him being behind and starting out at level 1 feels almost like we’re starting over after working through The Good and the Beautiful these past 3 years (just finished level 2) and he’s a good reader just big time struggling with writing sentences without my first writing his words down and then he copies it.

I started my granddaughter at level 2 in 3rd grade. She will be doing level 3 for 4th grade. I didn't want her to be overwhelmed either and this worked well for us. I hope this helps. ❤
