My dad died 2 years ago, and I've just gotten to the point where I don't cry every day and can get out of bed a little bit easier, but this has me sobbing all over again. I would give anything to have just a little more time with him after having such little time with him to begin with, but as much as I miss him, I don't think I would try to stop his death unless it stopped his pain. I couldn't watch him suffer like that all over again knowing how much he hurt.

I cried but this is hitting extra hard because the sunday before Easter this year, I had my parents over. I made them a lunch and my dad was excitedly telling me about his new hearing aids (it was clear they were game changing and he was more present than in years). It was a decent day. Usually I hug them both goodbye and tell them I love them. But this time my hands were full so I just shouted over to them that I'd see them Tuesday (my next day off). A short time after I got a panicked call from my mom and I raced to their house. My dad had a stroke that caused a massive aneyurism. He got transferred to two hospitals because he was shutting down rapidly and the first wasn't equipped for the emergency brain surgery. It wasn't the most important thing, but I remember sitting in the ER wishing I had just put the things in my hands down when they were leaving. Life has been surreal since.

Thank you. You all are truly great. And that's what my mom and brother and I keep saying to each other. We keep reminding each other we are taking everything day-by-day and moment-by-moment. It's still a surreal roller coaster, but we try to recognize and appreciate even brief happy moments we weren't sure we'd get. Keep doing what you do. Music reaches the soul and people need that.

I literally can't tell how much I love the concept of this new era/ project of Written By Wolves!! ❤ I'm probably 100% wrong but this is my interpretation of it: To me it feels like this is kind of a path we're walking along, a sort of way/ journey (to ourselves) ... Starting with the realization that we have to make ourselves known instead just standing by and silently watching how everything around us falls apart, that we have a choice to do something about it if we only want to (GIVE 'EM HELL). Leading to the next step that we shouldn't just accept this mess, chaos and misery we find everywhere and let it drag us down with it if we instead can change it for the better because Life should be more than just a broken society, broken people... or a broken world (MISERY). And yet still if we find ourselves in these dark places/ moments we should think about the good things instead, to question how we can pull us back out of these - what's our concept of HOME? A person, an emotion, a memory, or whatever it is that can take you back to the place that gives you the feeling of safety and comfort... where you're seen, accepted how you are, where you feel wanted and important... Just the home you want to go back to when everything becomes too much and you need a safe space (TAKE ME HOME). But through all of that we shouldn't forget to also (most importantly) stand for ourselves, to fight for ourselves and our ideals/ what we believe in and not only for others or become someone else's puppet blinded by lies or made into something we're not. And to address exactly this out loud if we have to - to not bow to someone we don't believe in and to instead follow our own way and not a specified path by another person (ALTAR). Even if it is the one we love most... that showed us/ let us experience how love can feel, how powerful, divine and intense it can be. A forged bond that can last through lifetimes no matter what, that always leads us back to our other part and will defy all odds if we want (GODDESS). But as high as it can take you as much it can tear you down... And what happens then? When your whole world suddenly goes up in flames and burns down to the ground? When you get thrown back into a reality where no matter where you look, everything is burning and in absolute disarray? We start to realize that maybe despite seeing it coming by a long shot, in the end we have let it go too far to change anything and we have literally doomed ourselves by looking away from the bitter truth and ignoring it this entire time until we have nothing left but to sit back and watch the remains burn (BURN). So when we have lost everything... what exactly is there left for us then? (- Even if the meaning/ story behind PLEASE, JUST BREATHE is clear, I'm going to take it metaphorically here -) When we arrive at the part of our path where we are getting confronted with loss and death itself, how are we dealing with it? When we have finally reached the point where we can't go on anymore and start to think if death is maybe the better option because everything feels just hopeless and there is no reason to keep going, then suddenly someone is there begging you to please... please, just breathe for a moment - please, just breathe through it even if it seems you can't... You can get through this, no matter how bad it is. You're not alone in this. I'm here and I'll do anything for you, please don't leave. All you have to do is breathe (PLEASE, JUST BREATHE). So, having lost our way, we are looking for something to guide us back. A light, a beacon, a safe shelter, a LIGHTHOUSE - whatever can show us how to get back on our path. That shows and reminds us that there is light at the end of the tunnel and we're not doomed to wander around in the shadows if we just let it guide us out. (- This is my own interpretation from the released coverart of THE LIGHTHOUSE -) And I'm very sure this is just the beginning of our journey... Speaking of it... Can I just quickly bring some attention to the cheeky announcement in the video description??? THE LIGHTHOUSE - 26th July Is it a new song? Or even a new album because it misses the lyrics and the blank part at the side? OMG, I'm soo excited and can't wait for it!! 😍And can I just say how beautiful the coverart of it is and how perfectly it fits together with the one from this song? I absolutely love them both and their unique style! They transport so much emotion already 🥰❤‍🔥 I also sincerely apologize for this very loooong comment. She's autistic and I'm the only one that can care for her. So, there is a lot to do to make sure that she will be okay. This got to me really badly. I lost my youngest son's father in 2017. He died pretty suddenly before he reach 45. He got sick and it took him away from us. There was nothing we could do. Our son loves trains, he was only 5 years old. Never put anything off with your lived ones!! You never know if it could be your last time with them. We are not promised a future!!

My granddad passed away on my boyfriend's birthday this year and even though I was told when we were getting ready for our date that he only had a few hours I didn't cancel the date and go. It's since come to my attention that he was alone, or at least no family was there. Not his wife, not his son, not his brother, and neither of his grandchildren. Forgiving myself for that is one of the things I struggle with the most these few months later. If I could go back in time I would have gone to him and just held his hand until it was over. As it was it had been about a year before his death that I saw him last and that kills me inside too. I'd give anything for another chance to say goodbye. I feel like an idiot for not taking the one I got.
