He is truly one of the great American song writers! Unfortunately he doesn’t get the recognition of the John Fogertys or Bob Dylans, etc, because the heavy dark aspects of his writing, doesn’t fit the status quo. He should be in the Rock and Roll hall of fame, with AIC, as well as The American Songwriters!

It was a dark era. But my small circle of friends and these bands got us through it. When i listen to this era i feel sadness but triumph as well that i learned something new about myself and me and my friends got through it.

Dad introduced me to Dirt around '02 (I was 7) and I've been hooked ever since. Jerry's music has taken on so many different meanings throughout my life and I'm SO glad he's still writing.
