No lag for once, but now the sound quality is lacking... Guess I'll have to read up more on how to make OBS not suck at what it does... Also I swear the colours are still washed out even after I changed the toggle that's supposed to preserve the saturation... Anyway, as you may have suspected from my silence last week, I had problems with this one. Or well, not what's shown in the video, that was easy as hell. A bit of writing, a few new and very simple models, it was a breeze. The problems came with the dialogue system. As you might tell, I've made some improvements. Conversations can now start at different points based on previous interactions, and dialogue options can be locked and unlocked. ...Almost. You can't see it in this video, but the latter doesn't work properly. And it's making me realize that the dialogue system is a big, fat mess. It's really hard to make changes to without errors because it's so convoluted and hard to read. My conclusion is that I'll have to burn it down and build it back up, which will take time and a toll on my sanity. Doesn't help that pretty much every one of these videos rely on dialogue, so we'll see how that goes... I might keep using this system as a crutch just to get the videos out, but I'm aiming to overhaul it so it's more organized and thus easier to work with in the future. On a lesser note, I noticed I completely forgot to have the Broken move his head around like you've seen characters do in previous videos while speaking. It makes them a little more dynamic which is great due to their limited ability to emote (especially the Broken since I refuse to make more animations for them until I've fixed the model), but this time I got so caught up in other issues that I neglected that. And at this rate I just wanna get a video up, so I didn't fix it. That's becoming a bit of a pattern, isn't it... Me uploading not when a video is DONE, but when I'M done with IT... Ah well.

This is pretty interesting, I must say. This way of thinking is which I have: if you have no reference, you can't blame your situation. It's quite ironic to see that this Broken is really aware of how the thoughts work. Pretty deep reflexion. I pretty like the atmosphere. :)

I have seen a lot of comments lately about monster school so here is a short thing : HE DOESN'T WANT TO DO THEM ANYMORE. I hope this gets through, but incase you haven't noticed he's trying to make a game and swim through a river of emotional garbage which is -and I speak from experience- incredibly hard. On another note what you did looks great and I drew a bit of fanart for you if you could tell me where to send it I'd do it ^^

You can send it to me on my email at [e-mail] Also, I've kind of just accepted that the Monster School comments will never stop. There are too many people who simply don't care enough to watch the video or read any comments, they just post expecting their voice to be heard even though a quick investigation would reveal that their demands fall on deaf ears. It's just how the internet works, and I've learned to live with it. Still not fun when it happens, but it's not gonna stop just because I don't like it. I have an option, I could make a new channel and leave all the Monster School baggage behind, but I've chosen not to, so I acknowledge this as the side effect of me not wanting to abandon my current channel.

I am planning to remake Notch vs Wither King in the future, do you have the latest decay skin and scythe item for it? The nostalgia hit me hard into motivation... Also, any copyright info on Parazites - Red Blood Skiez? Or should i have to recreate to avoid copyright problem?

Hi Willcraft, amazing work as always! I do have a question though, is this game going to be more of a story heavy game with small puzzles, or are you just focusing on the stories now so that making the heavier puzzles will be more streamlined?

It's going to be rather story and atmosphere-centered, with some actual proper gameplay. Not a lot of puzzles planned though, more a bit of traditional hide-n'-seek-n'-run gameplay as I'll hopefully be able to show in a few vids, with a few puzzles here and there. I don't generally enjoy puzzles in horror games because they just seem tacked on and bring you out of the experience, so if I include puzzles they need to integrate well with the game. An example would be dialogue-based puzzles where you gotta talk your way through an encounter by choosing the right dialogue options.

You need to change the font, looks too modern. A lot of games I see use a bad font and this removes a lot of enjoyment. Edit: I mean the font on the stone, not in the voice box.

Depends. I'm trying to not show too much because then there won't be much of a point in even playing the finished product, but at the same time I'm the kind of person who likes to go into stuff completely blind. So it comes down to how extreme you are in what you consider spoilers. ...As well as if there ever WILL be a finished product. It wouldn't be the first time I try and fail to make a game. Though I'm optimistic about it because this is the longest I've ever stayed committed to one. But yeah, I do try to avoid stuff I would rather save for the proper release, if it ever comes.
