You can only make educated guesses about addresses that belong to exchanges, particularly with things like Bitcoin. (It's far easier for things like Eth)

Hello! The btcrecover haven’t been able to find the word that is missing from the 24 word seed phrase. I’ve gone through installation process multiple times now and the btc recovery seems to be working but the the seed is not found. The recovery is for a terra wallet btw.. As the seedrecovery start to search, the first 3 phases are pretty much skipped. Then it starts to count passwords and ultimately show nothing. Wondering what I might have done wrong. It’s only one word that is missing Appreciate a answer!

Importing wallet using seed phrases will have different token addresses. In that case our token will not be visible in newly imported app. So this means to access my tokens i can use my seed phrase with same wallet. So it means my keys not my coins but my keys wallets coins.

It started when I tried to copy my Evmos testnet wallet address to paste in the faucet address to get tokens by every time I try to copy the address from metamask, it will still bring a different address and not the Evmos address. It has been repeatedly pasting the same address after copying for all the wallets that I have in my metamask since I noticed the problem. It has been showing and copying the same Avalanche wallet for all the tokens that I have in my metamask wallet. Any idea on how this can be solved?

Help!! So what if i have say 5 nanos. Re did 4 new 24 seed word. Hello and thank you for posting these videos. Can you please help me with my issue? I had terrible hardware connection issues with my Ledger Nano S and ended up resetting the seed phrase 3 times (all 100% clearly written on a physical card) and never was able to get past Ledger Live authenticity check (because the device kept losing its physical connection to the micro USB). Haven't used the Nano S since 2017 so I believe the firmware was outdated too during these resets (I believe reading through forums that this may be an issue). I purchased and attempted to access my funds through a Nano X using my 3rd seed phrase. The initial setup was successful but after I downloaded the respective apps, it showed a $0 balance. Trezor enables passphrase by default so it's easy for newbies to accidentally enable it... You can use BTCRecover in an attempt to recover what the passphrase is, as long as you have some idea to of where to start in terms of possible passphrases. Basically the funds should be on the seed associated with your Trezor.

Just use all the defaults (so no extera aarguments with an address from a supported coin and it should work fine. If it doesn't then either the address isn't from that wallet or you have additional issues with your seed beyond the two missing words.

Well if you go for a private consultation then it would be a matter of walking you through installing BTCRecover and running through the common mistakes that people make and some tokenlists that can be a good place to start. You probably have about a 50/50 chance of successful recovery.

Hello Sir, Good news! BTC Recover helped me verify my seed phrase after finding my pass phrase that I thought I lost. BTCRecover video was helpful. The bad news, I already reset (recovery, not factory reset) my Ledger Nano S and it gave me a new passphrase and I entered a seed phrase (not to the original due putting in a wrong word / thinking my Ledger will reject the wrong word). Would I need to reset/recover mode my ledger and enter in my original passphrase? I'm not sure where to go from here..

I know this is an older video but I am desperate, I had taken 1002 sol tokens out of my account on coinex exchange and thought I was sending them to my ledger wallet. turns out some of the letters in the address was wrong. i thought it was Smt etc but the letters for the address were actually Srnt the small rn looked like an M to me . is there any way to get the sol tokens back. If the address you entered was invalid, then the transaction should have failed. (Though how good the enforcement of this type of error checking is varies dramatically, especially for more obscure alts like Solana) If the transaction succeeded and you can see the funds sitting there on a block explorer, but it the address was from a typo, then there is likely not even a corresponding private key in existence to access the funds. (So they would therefore be unrecoverable and I'm sorry for your loss) The learning here is 1) Stick to chains like Bitcoin that actually prevent this kind of mistake due to strong address checksums 2) copy\paste addresses, don't write them by hand 3) Always send a small test TX fist

You just need to select that you want to restore a 12 word seed, rather than selecting that you want to restore a 24 word seed...

@@CryptoGuide first when I bought it, I set it up to my laptop, I skipped the part of setting a backup. I connected my metamask wallet to the trezor, so far so good, I had my old address without a seed phrase. So i decided to set it up into my pc but this time I would do the back up, if I’m not wrong, you have to wipe your “memory” even though I didn’t have any seed phrase, I did this and I set it up normally on my pc. I would have a seed phrase and I connect it to my pc metamask and I noticed that It would have a different metamask address to the laptop so I found it strange, I tried to send some tokens in my laptop but I couldn’t, so I deleted the extension and redownload it again and connect my trezor but with seed this time and I noticed that it would have the same address to my pc. So I tried wiping my trezor memory with seed phrase to try to see if I would go back to my old addresses but apparently it’s lost… I still have my old address direction though..

If you wiped without a working breakup this is unrecoverable. It is not possible to have the Trezor return to its previous wallet without the recovery seed. Simply having the address doesn't help. I'm sorry for your loss.

How did you pull that off? Did you initiate the transaction from a bridge or just copy/paste the address from a block explorer? If you sent funds directly to a null address then you have caused an unrecoverable loss.

You might just have a typo in your seed, you can give BTCRecover a try.

Same seed = same address... If you just imported the seed over the top and are using brave/chrome then you could extract the vault from the previous version of your wallet. (And then try to recover the password)

Yea it's always a typo in seed or using the wrong seed. Just use BTCRecover and recover your previous vault.

If you are getting a different address it is because you either 1) added a passphrase 2) are using a Trezor with a different seed 3) are looking at the testnet address on one of the wallets. You need to work out what you did to mess it up and then you can recover the funds.

If the funds are at your address on the eth chain (easy to verify with a block explorer) then that will work. Otherwise it has nothing to do with your issue.

Trezor has enabled passphrase by default for the last two years, so you likely set one without realising it. Have you tried using your PIN as the passphrase?

If you use a different passphrase between the two you will get different addresses. It's also possible that with something like Bitcoin, you chose a different account type on Trezor Suite. (They will be the same for stuff like Eth)
