Sir I am not very confident about number series so I solve as many quest as I can but I keep last 3 minutes reserved for number series in prelims exams so that I do not spend more than 36 seconds on an AVG on each quest and also to stay calm because I know don't have to solve any other quest. I do the same thing in mocks . Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Sir is it the right strategy or I should do it first ?

Arun, Whatever works for you is the right strategy. Doesn't sound bad. Even when it doesn't work completely, you would get 3-4 out of 5.. Look at all the questions carefully in those 5 min..

While multiplying by five, we can go from left to right and divide by 2, we will get answer. E.g 979 ×5= 9/2=4 17/2=8 19/2=9 and 0.5 remaining. So answer would be 489.5 which would simply 4895. The logic is ×5 can be written as ×10/2 ,so we can divide by 2 and remove the decimal. One more example 123456×5 =12/2=6 =34/2=17 56/2=18 61718 since no decimal, we add o. So anda is 617180. Just based on how much digits you can easily divide by 2 at a time, you can divide. 1st example i have taken each digit 2nd one i have taken two digits a time..

@sakshi Is that your takeaway from this session? When did we ask you to leave everything? We asked you to not struggle with a difficult question. Learn to leave a difficult question and choose a simpler question instead. If you still think struggling with a difficult number series question is worth it then we really don't have anything to say.

Thank you for the lecture.❤️ Wrong number series generally wastes a lot of time if you do not get the logic in 1-2 tries. Most important thing I have learned is to get the logic in the series itself (square or cube plus some addition or subtraction) or get it in the first difference series. Try not to use the double difference because of the reasons you have told.

@@sumitkumarkeshri1959 Try to ignore the problem of DI set (give 5 min less to that section) and continue to take one test a day and analyze it thoroughly. Test-taking is most important in the last few days. Your marks are not bad and you are definitely in the race. Try to go back and see where exactly you missed marks in previous mocks. Also, review the important questions you came across in those mocks. See how you can work on not making those mistakes again. It is more about getting mentally prepared from now on. All the best!
