A Hamilton neighbourhood pub becomes a murder scene when a man out for an evening with his family is found stomped to death in the back hallway. The search for answers only leads detectives to more questions. Dog tags found at the scene and mysterious bruises on the body will finally give Forensic Detective Annette Huys the proof she needs to put the killers away.

Absolutely horrifying! Killed for trying to comfort someone and calm an argument. I’ve often put my hang on someone’s arms or shoulder say ,” it’s ok , calm down .” I’ve never thought of being murdered for it but I will now. So sad , I feel so deeply for Art’s wife, children and other loved ones.

This is unbelievably sad!! What weirds me out the most is that this whole "he/she disrespected me" reason for murdering someone is the most often excuse used by people who clearly have no respect for anyone else!! I used to say "the opposite of love isn't hate - it's indifference ... now I think it's loss of respect for one another!! So so sad!! So so stupid!!

When criminals get more protection than their victims....your society has a serious problem with who actually deserves justice.

I think killing someone for no reason is even worse than having intent. Jeez, what a system

If a man is down on the ground not fighting back or unablele to defend himself and two men continue to brutally beat him, in my opinion that constitutes as intent now if he was fighting back the whole time then you could argue manslaughter but they might as well have been kicking a sleeping person in the head unbelievable that the prosecution failed to convict them on second degree murder

The only solace is that guys like these gang members don’t have a long life span. It catches up to them sooner rather than later.

No wonder people turn a blind eye, murdered - brutally - for trying to calm a fight they weren't involved with. Anytime anyone comes across that, turn right around. RIP.

Everywhere im seeing when 3 white guys are beating on a black guy its instantly a hate crime and on the cover on some newpaper. But rarely the other way. Im not saying this was racially motivated, just questioning how media portrays things.

The US is experiencing this same phenomenon. A small percentage of certain individuals, responsible for the vast majority of violent and often unprovoked attacks on innocent people. And with DA’s across the country, who are acting like defense attorneys, this will only get worse.

What? 11yr for killing someone? That's f***ing insane. They should be charged with life sentence with no parole. What on earth happened to the justice system

Every time, I hear a cop, or anyone who is involved in a situation where a criminal dirtbag is referred to as a 'Gentleman' I feel like throwing something through the screen
