This movie used to scare the crap out of me as a kid. I watched it way before I should've been able to XD Perks of having a cool mom. But about a decade later, I rediscovered the series and decided to give it another go. And I'm glad I did, it's my favorite horror franchise. I've watched them all and I have to say the 4th one is my favorite. It acts as a bit of a prequel to the first one. Same with the 5th, but it's not as strong a movie to me. The 6th is garbage, I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time on it. The one that came out this year. . . Doesn't even deserve the title. It's in no way, shape, or form related to the original franchise. The only thing that ties it to these movies is a throwaway line at the end about someone renting a movie about cannibal hillbillies. Completely shoehorned in and just terribly executed.

Congrats on your first cannibal movie. They can leave a bad taste with you . No pun intended the first time you see one it can just rub the wrong way. You have to get used to these kinds of movies. Here's a most see movie if you like Disney's Aladdin. I recommend the movie Wishmaster because it's more true to . Djinn or genie lore that's all I will say. They have been called Genies but I guess they are technically called Djinn it's both singular and plural .

Quick back story behind the scenes. Tibit the writer the studio approached for the movie. Was even like hows a horror movie about a . Genie or Djinn going to work then the person. From the movie studio handed him allot of Islamic Djinn lore . That the studio research on their own. When he seen all that lore an research he was like I'm in .

I'm glad you want to check it out. Because that movie deserves more attention than it gets . I mean slasher horror movies are a dime a dozen. But evil Djinn or genie movies Wishmaster an it 3 sequels are the only. Ones I'm aware of so it is sad it doesn't get enough attention. Because for the most part people say you have to . See Halloween with Michael Myers , A Nightmare on elm Street with Freddy Krueger , Friday the 13th with Jason Voorhees , Child's play with Chucky and Texas chainsaw massacre with Leather Face. These are most people's horror icons.

My list of horror icons is slightly different . Hellraiser with the Hell Priest or Pinhead, Wishmaster with the Djinn or genie, A Nightmare on elm Street with Freddy Krueger , Stephen King's It with Pennywise the clown. Because they are way more dangerous than the likes of Michael Myers. Because they don't need to physically touch your body to kill or harm you . They also can an do play mind games with their victims . Wich is something Michael Myers , Jason Voorhees , Chucky an Lather Face don't do. It's all about the physical with them . I also added a new horror character to the list . Terrifier with Art the clown here's a worning about the movie . It's not for the squeamish I really mean it . Lots of blood and gore . All I will say is here's Art the clown in a nut shell . Take the look of a clown add the silent stalker part of Michael Myers . Then add the brutally of Jason Voorhees with the play fullness of Freddy Krueger. Then the inventfullnes or creativity of Jigsaw. Then but all that together into one character. All I will say is the only lucky ones. Are the ones he kills quickly . If not he likes to play an enjoy himself . Then if they are lucky he kills them. Because he may not kill them those are the unlucky ones .
