Some other reasons for v storm . 1. If you have single garage , riding the bike in traffic is easy (better low end tourqe, enough torque to put 18kg luggage and pillion and you can still do stiff climbs of munnar mountains) 2. Absolutely low maintenance and suzuki reliability, suzuki oil cooling pioneers 3. 6-7k rpm highway , easy 100-110 cruise speed (you will never feel bike ia out of control) & no vibration at all. Oh !! The mileage of suzuki😅 city :36-37, highway 40-42 Cons: 1. Light offroading only, its suspension could have been better . Its an amazing tourer 2. I personally feel the front brakes pad could have been better, ill probably use more premium break pads next time . All in all its an amazing single garage bike , jack of all trade If ill upgrade ill upgrade to ktm 390 adv and ill use it for touring purpose only, its absolutely unusable in Bangalore traffic.

keeping the tyre size aside , i would anyday choose Dominar 400 , because if highway touring on budget tubeless tyre is must for me . All your power and spec sheet are of no use if u get flat tyre

Having ridden dominar for 2 years and 12k km, i would say that anyone thinking of getting dominar on emi, please stretch till cheapest adventure 390, the difference in monthly emi wont matter as much as the difference in performance

Very good analysis! I was using pulsar 150 as my first bike . After 4 years I bought KTM ADV 250 replacing Royal Enfield 350 classic. I know they are from different segments. But I would say KTM ADV 250 has surprised me . I would also like to mention Suzuki service is never up to the mark , bcz my brother has a gizzer 250 sf , so I know . All over the analysis is perfect 👍

How do you handle buying a touring/adv bike like the Himalayan, for example, you're on a highway with a flat tyre. These bikes are not tubeless. You have to remove the tyre to fix the puncture and install it back. How is everyone living with this issue? You can't do solo rides, right?

great comparison on available entry level bikes bro. Very well covered. However. I found one most important aspect missing; "Torque" rating. Especially the low-end torque. In spite of almost half the power, Himalayan easily outperforms 390 Adv in hilly off-road terrain. Looking forward to more vids.

I have had GS310 for the last 3 years. Suspension is just woow. With Pelion, it's magic. The only downside is that it is viby at 5k RPM.

Good analysis 👍. By the way I suggest you to take a test ride of adventure 390 SW variant as it got the fully adjustable suspension 20 clicks rear. It handles off road like a breeze.Unlike non adjustability of GS310 that will bottom out. The stiff suspension was an issue of the past . All other Vehicles in the mentioned list would be suitable for begginer/ amateur riders.

Xpulse is the most underrated bike , I am having bmw310 gs and xpulse , but my go through bike is xpulse . I have completed many 700km+ rides and you can easily cruise @80kmph all day. Only thing is that it feels underpowered at times

If you want to use the bike in both traffic and tour get the v storm, if you are planning to only use it on tours get the ktm. Believe me this point is the major difference maker, I have a first hand experience of both bike and I love both but for different use case. But yeah v storm is basically jack of all trade. Gives low power + 6-7k rpm 6th gear 100-110 pe without any vibration cruises in highway. Instead of adv 250 I'll personally choose 390-x

You could have compared torque across all bikes and shown torque & power graphs. Low end torque for RE bikes is unmatched. Other thing is that though RE and Yezdi are heavy they provide better stability on road at high speeds. वो जो कहते है ना.. गाड़ी रास्ता छोड़ती नही है।

Vstrom 250, G310GS are the most comfortable in terms of suspension but still you will have to either modify pillion seat or use seat cushion to make your pillion comfortable

Vstorm 250 suspension does not suit offroading Himalayan does not have enough power G310 expensive to maintain Yezdi too heavy KTMs are perfect but not for everyone. Also I don't think when people say adventure-touring they really will be doing a lot of off-road. So it doesn't make sense to keep dominar out of the comparisons. It's a perfect machine and can do slight off-road with better tyres. The best part of Dominar is it's luggage carrying capacity as well as highway capability. Similar with KTM 390 Adv. The only two I will ever think of having

The top speed of Vstrom 250 Sx is just 137. Go and check out the GPS speed test video of vstrom 250 sx. There's a 15 km speedo error. It's quite common with Suzuki motorcycle and Bajaj.

I doubt vstrom and ktm 250 are off-roaders cause their torque is not up to the mark moreover they got alloys,Himalayan has a more side of off-roader(can never beat x pulse in off-roading) and not a tourer ,therefore for me it will always be the legendary Yezdi an all rounder also the service centre is much nearer to my house!😅

For highway cruising, top gear ratio is more important than number of gears. Get better knowledge, Himalayan has far taller top gear ratio than most other bikes here 😜. Also I think Himalayan has an oil cooler.
