The woman doing the sign-off announcement Dana Hersey's program change announcement was Meg Lavigne, one of the few female staff announcers in the country. After the announcement would usually come the Mormon's SSB film with a picture of the old broadcast tower before dissolving into the film and then fading out just as a frame surrounding red skies enclosed the face of the Statue of Liberty. WSBK would be a UPN owned station then go independent then My Network (not really a net) and is now back as a CBS-owned independent and...IT CALLS ITSELF TV38! But, it's just not the same! WSBK was on my local cable system until the SYNDEX rule forced TV38 (on cable 18) off Cablevision (now called Optimum...a corporate shadow of itself as most things are these days!). Then again as many as 5 indies were on the line-up including WNEW/WNYW, (W)WOR-TV and WPIX for New York and WTXX (CW's WCCT) and WTIC-TV in Hartford/New Haven. ONE MORE THING: This year marks (as of October 12th) WSBK's 60th year of broadcasting. It was originally licensed as a Catholic TV station WIHS-TV in 1964 run by the Boston Catholic Television Center. In 1966, Storer Broadcasting bought the station and changed its callsign to represent its stock ticker symbol...SBK...and a Boston TV legend was born.

Meg LaVigne was also Public Affairs Director at WSBK in the early 1980s and later Program Director. She sometimes filled in for station GMs Dan Berkery and Stu Tauber as host of "Ask the Manager". I believe she left WSBK in about 1997, when she moved on to become VP and GM at UPN affiliates in Norfolk, VA and Atlanta, and she eventually became President of Television at Litton Entertainment. According to her LinkedIn, it looks like she's back in Massachusetts, running her own media company that offers seminars and growth tools for "emerging media leaders".

WSBK Boston is now owned by CBS, and is WBZ-TV's sister station and is not known as "CBS 4" but is known as WBZ-TV on air.

It's Rare to Signoff during the Daytime for WSBK because of Technical Maintenance.

IIRC, this is your first upload with a sign-off since your WNYT Commercial Breaks video from November 6, 1984.
