Skins got robbed. Alstott was clearly short after review. His elbow was down and the ball was well short of the goal line. Even Aikman saw that. It's all good. Skins got thier revenge in the playoffs that year.

I miss the gruden years. Even tho he made questionable calls and always having trouble with our offense. If a couple things had gone differently he woulda stayed the coach. Instead they fire him and it took us 7 years to even get a veteran coach again. I think they shoulda gave lovie Smith an extra season too, but they had to choose him or Koeter and now we actually look like a playoff team with him as coach, Winston and our recivers and our rebuilt defense. With gruden we at least felt like contenders and im glad that feeling is back.
@MikeP8137 жыл бұрын
If he would have made the playoffs in the 2008-2009 season I don't think they fire him which would change the outlook on our franchise to this day.
@alangambrell77327 жыл бұрын
It's so ironic Shepperd caught the tying pass in this game and in same playoff situation he just couldn't quite complete the catch. If Simms hadnt had his spleen burst the next season maybe he could've been out franchise QB
@MikeP8137 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, felt bad for him when that happened.
@joshuariston29246 жыл бұрын
If only Chris Simms didn’t get hurt. I think Grudens fortunes in TB would be different. I’m watching this considering the Browns are playing the Raiders this weekend. Jon Grudens offense versus Greg Williams defense. Again

Simms was and is the best QB we had I know Winston has the numbers but you can't deny Simms was great he didn't have the weapons Winston has now.
@MikeP8137 жыл бұрын
Ehhhh I think Doug Williams was better than Simms. Winston is better that Simms with or without the weapons he has now. Simms' problem was he had alot of batted balls and the decision making. I loved Simms though don't get me wrong!

Did Alstott get in the endzone? A couple of questions of the officiating in this one.
@MikeP8137 жыл бұрын
Evan Williams I think he got in!
@alangambrell77327 жыл бұрын
I mean Im biased as a fan and still think he made it in. But I mean they called it as he was in on the field so the refs kinda had their hands tied. If they woulda said he didn't make it in they couldn't have overturned it either. That's why the call stands and wasn't confirmed. It happens every week in the nfl. This was just a way crazier situation with the game on the line
@evanwilliams64067 жыл бұрын
Yeah me too. I can understand that.
@KMC52406 жыл бұрын
I'm a skins fan and I think he got in before he was down. Either way, the ref could only go by what he saw when he got to the pile. And when it got there, he saw the ball breaking the plane. I remember watching this thinking right before he made the call, "If he rules this a score, there's no way they'll have enough to overturn it". Because there was no clear way to be able to tell if Alstott was down before the ball broke the plane. If it's not 100% conclusive, they're gonna stick with the first call.
@rhey816 жыл бұрын
2:55:03 replay showed his elbow that had the ball was down before the goalline..

And wow what a downgrade the new Buccaneers uniforms are from their older ones. Those were one of the best unis in the NFL, why would you go and change them to something worse?
@MikeP8137 жыл бұрын
I think they should have just made some minor tweaks to the uniform but they're not too bad.
@alangambrell77327 жыл бұрын
So fucking glad other people notice it. As a lifelong bucs fan and being a kid when they won the super bowl and a bit older watching this game I hate the new uniforms. The new all white jerseys are the only ones that look alright. I'm even ok with the new logo but in general the red jerseys with the Brown shoulders look like burger king uniforms

@Phinal_Flash6 жыл бұрын
At least you blew out Aaron Rodgers lol. Not many teams can say that now.
@CrysisOwnsHalo6 жыл бұрын
@@Phinal_Flash But does that really count though? lmao Rodgers was just filling in a few snaps for Favre because Favre played like trash that game & all season really. It is true that it's a somewhat rare feat to blow out Aaron Rodgers. The only instances it happened that I can think of was a few times between 2014-2016 when the Packers' defense was trash & the offense started to look out of sorts, such as against the Seahawks & Cardinals in the regular season (before choking to both in the playoffs those same years), the Saints, the Redskins & Titans in 2016 before Aaron Rodgers' went on his historic "run the table" after having a 4-6 regular season record, & finally against the Falcons in the NFC Championship game that year (& most of those games weren't really _that_ bad of blowouts, most by around 20 pts or so), & then the Giants in 2012, which was a total beatdown. It's absolutely crazy to think though that in 2004 & at one point early in the 2005 season before Ray Lewis got hurt, the Ravens had Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, Terrell Suggs, & Deion Sanders all starting on defense. Just insane.
@teddyjam81346 жыл бұрын
I remember this game and they cheated the entire game. The catch which they called a force out was bull. He just didn't get his feet down. One of the picks the bucs got should've been nullified by a hold on moss. And finally the last call. It was obvious that alstott didn't get in. You could clearly see he was down and where his elbow was. This is when just one of the many games which confirmed for me that the NFL rigged games. National fixed league.
@MikeP8136 жыл бұрын
There were bad calls but Alstott did get in though.
